If I re-visit Ireland, I'd definitely consider one of CIE's other tours.
We booked Aer Lingus through CIE with our tour. Like most airlines today, they have lost interest in their customers - seats to close together and food not very appetizing. This will probably be our last flight with them.

Great tour; Best tour guide/driver, beautiful country
My husband I booked the Irish Legends tour. A very delayed flight had us arriving in Dublin after the tour had already begun. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a CIE rep (Conor) at baggage claim.. Conor was in phone contact with our tour guide (Collin) and walked us to a taxi and gave the driver instructions to where to meet up with our tour. Collin was waiting for us-- and off we went-- for the next 9 days we were on a tour with 15 other adults with Collin as our guide and driver. What an amazing experience. Collin was a wealth of knowledge - history, culture, current events, people, geoography- and clearly has great pride and love of his home. And what's not to love about Ireland-- the most incredible landscapes, great people, and beer. The decision to take a CIE tour was definitely the best choice-- Collin navigated the twisty, narrow country roads while we sat back and enjoyed the views (and comfort and WiFi) from our seats. At every stop, Collin had great suggestions of additional things to do, see, or eat. The hotels on the trip were all great choices-- and one in particular (The Dunloe) had the most amazing views and grounds to explore. The pace was just right.. it packed in lots of experiences without being too fast or too slow. And that Collin worked with the hotel staff to get us from the bus to our room and handled our luggage made relaxing even easier. Great tour, made amazing with the fantastic guide/driver Collin. Thank you CIE!

Overall the our was very good. The bus driver and city tour guides were extremely knowledgeable. The coach was comfortable and the pace was easy to keep up with. The food got kind of boring but understandable given the length of time available for meals out.

For the most part, all the hotels were very good. The last hotel North Star in Dublin was not as good as all the other hotels we stayed at. For the most part, the meals were excellent. The lunch at the Kilarney Design Ctr. was not very good.
