Do the trip!
What a wonderful tour! Just long enough and Gerry with a “G” was so knowledgeable! So enjoyable to not have to drive. Loved exploring the sites on the itinerary and love that our guide would make impromptu steps for photo opportunities.

Taste of Italy with Sorrento - 10 Days/9 Nights
Great tour of Italy.
We had a great time on the Tast of Italy with Sorrento tour. Our tour director was excellent in providing information and recommendations to the group. We had great service from all CIE guides and drivers. Some of the extra stops in the small towns helped to make the trip extra special. The included meals were all very good. The boat ride tours in Venice and Amalfi were amazing.

Taste of Britain - 7 Days/6 Nights
Experienced travel team.
This was a short tour and we packed a lot into the days that flew by. The hotels were mostly in great locations, clean with very accommodating hotel staff. Some stops along the way were very brief but still everyone managed to keep up. The comfort stops seemed to be perfectly placed. We had a long day to get to Liverpool, so our actual stay we had almost no time to explore the place. We happened to be on the tour that had tickets for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the Castle.. What a fabulous experience that was. All of the guest guides were very interesting. We had to leave our bags out early each morning so they could load the bus while we ate the included breakfasts but it was easy to manage each morning. That's why we have a back pack to carry the little extras we need after breakfast and during the day. Some of the sites we visited provided audio guides. In certain cases, if you listened to everything on the audio guide there was no time remaining to see anything else the town might have to offer. Each night the hotel staff delivered our bags to our rooms. The wait to receive them was pretty short. We did receive the wrong bag on one occasion but the error was corrected quickly. Chris and Philip were a great team to take us from London to Edinburgh with stops in between. Philips driving skills were a show in itself negotiating the small and winding streets of small town England. Chris kept us entertained with interesting facts and figures about the areas we visited. We had a good group who were always on time. The bus seat rotation that goes with all tours was easy to figure out and manage. It was nice to be with a good group with experienced leaders who had a well rehearsed travel and guiding system.

Scenic Britain - 9 Days/8 Nights
The highlight of this tour for me was the Tattoo and it did not disappoint.
This tour allowed us to see many highlights and the information provided was excellent. If Damien is indicative of the skill and knowledge of your guides, then, yes, I would recommend CIE. Only two hotels provided AC and there were fans in two others but the Castle Hotel was incredibly hot and I would not recommend it for summer months. I would have liked to be closer to the old city in Edinburgh so that we could have seen more. thank you for including the Tattoo...that was a highlight.

Irish Classic - 12 Days/11 Nights
Irish Classic Tour is Amazing!!
Our tour was well-planned out! We drove over 1000 miles around Ireland to learn about this beautiful country. We saw amazing sights, such as the Giant’s Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher, dined at an Irish castle, enjoyed Irish coffee and entertainment at a roadside pub, watched dogs herd sheep, took walking tours of towns with very knowledgeable guides, took
a ride on a horse-drawn jaunting car and SO much more! Our tour guide, Brendan, was awesome!!!! His knowledge, humor, wit, and singing made our trip so memorable!!! Our bus driver, Ollie, was also amazing! Our safety was always his top priority! Our luggage was always delivered to and taken from our rooms at lovely hotels. This is the tour you want to take in Ireland!!!!

Scottish Clans & Castles - 10 Days/9 Nights
I liked the commentary given each & every day about the culture, food, people, history, & geography of Scotland. I loved he big cities but also small town Scotland also, culture wise. One thing I wish we spent a little longer in Glencoe. Overall I loved the vacation. Some hotels & food could have been better. Glad Scotland was the first European country to visit. Thank you!

Taste of Scotland & Ireland - 11 Days/10 Nights
CIE did a wonderful job with organizing the tour. Transfers from one hotel to the next went smoothly. Transfer from the last hotel to the airport was very smooth. The package they sent to prepare you for the trip was outstanding. Our bus driver George made our trip fun and educational. He was an outstanding part of this trip. The first few days in Scotland had a lot of driving and not too many stops. Not sure if that can change to have more stops to keep your interest. Maybe take away Glasgow and add an additional day to Ireland. Maybe a night in Belfast. Met some wonderful people on our tour and enjoyed meeting people from different places.
The other change I would recommend is having smaller vans pick up people at the airport and take them to the first hotel. Maybe reserve a conference room they can stay in until rooms are available. They would have the opportunity to meet others on the tour. Staying at the airport waiting for others to arrive was draining and unpleasant. Really no place to wait comfortably.

Better Than Anticipated
Perfectly amazing tour in every way.. Loved the way bus seats were assigned and rotated. Brian McD. is in my opinion CIE's best Driver, Guide and Tour Director, all in one! He made the trip so special for everybody. CIE should give him a raise, extend his contract, and hope his extreme talent stays with CIE. The way luggage was handled each day could not have been better. Hotels were above average, luxury or near luxury. The final room at the castle was over the top luxury! Comfort stops were timed appropriately. The bus comfort was top notch. Customer Service was very good from start to finish! It was clear that the customer's experience mattered. We will travel with CIE again! Can't imagine another tour company can do it all better!

Irish Classic - 13 Days/12 Nights
It was a great bus tour. We chose CIE Tours from family recommendations. The bus tour of Ireland was fantastic. We wouldn't have been able to see this much of Ireland on our own. The hotels were very accommodating and the places and people we meet on the tour were great. Our tour guide Brandan and driver Ollie were the best combination. Brendan was very well-informed on all his facts and dates of Ireland history. Ollie was a safe and the best driver I ever seen. He also contributed to important facts about Ireland. Overall it was the best experience we ever had. I would sincerely recommend this tour to all wanting to see Ireland.

Tour guide and bus driver were excellent.. always on time and helpful. Great way to see all of Iteland! Fun group of people, not too big, Tour guide always on time and very informative as well as the bus driver. Always on time and very entertaining!! Lots if laughs and a great time.

Scottish Dream - 9 Days/8 Nights
Loved the beautiful historical sites-especially the Tatoo and sheep dogs. Crowded bus-difficult to see anything from the bus. No way to contact tour director. Hotels and meals were fine. The bus driver, Rob, was good. It was difficult to see anything while sitting on the bus. We were packed in like sardines. Linda, the tour director had great historical stories. It was difficult to follow her with the crowds and we had no way to contact her. We enjoyed the various sites. Scotland is beautiful and the people were very friendly. Hotels and food were fine and we met nice people on the tour. First bus tour for us -not sure we would do this again due to crowded bus and having to pack up every morning. It was a learning experience.
