Italy with CIE is a MUST DO
The CIE Tour met and exceeded all expectations going into the tour. I had visited Italy as a young man in 1990, and it is still as beautiful as it was then. The food is spectacular everywhere we visited. Lia with CIE is an excellent guide and I hope she continues to impress everyone with her style. All locations were great to see again but sometimes felt rushed to get it all done. That's no fault of the tour, just a simple fact of visiting Italy because there is so much to see. I highly recommend CIE!

Overall great tour
Small group (23), nice people, excellent guide with extensive knowledge of Italy, great bus, and very nice hotels. Our guide was excellent and took us to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, which I was very happy to see. The cruise around Capri was also an excellent addition. Breakfasts were excellent.
The dinners and lunches were satisfactory, although I would have appreciated another option when fish was the entree. There was a lot of walking, and some closer drop-off locations would have been helpful. In Florence and Bologna, I would have preferred the city tour before the free time so we had a better sense of what was around and what to go see.

Loved our Italian tour.
An awesome experience! Thank you CIE, and especially Massimo and Mauro.Massimo, and Mauro. It was an amazing experience. This is our second tour with CIE, and again a wonderful experience. Our Tour Director, Massimo, could not do enough for everyone in the group. Not only a great tour but an educational experience as well, with his knowledge of the history of every location. There is no way we could have seen and did as much as we did if we did this trip on our own. We fast passed every location and ferry trip. We recommended CIE tours to other tourists that we met in Italy who were with other tour companies and did not have the same positive experience that we did. Our driver Mauro was exception driving through the tight streets, especially in Sorrento. I highly recommend CIE tours, we could not have had a better experience.

Overall, everything was great. Paola, our tour guide, did an awesome job! We got to see so much of Italy in a short period of time. We got to see several different regions and try food in those regions. My family liked seeing the Colosseum the best. We wish we could have toured both the lower and upper levels but time constraints wouldn't allow it. The Isle of Capri and the Amalfi Coast were beautiful. The Isle of Capri was very crowded since it was an Italian national holiday. I would recommend trying to work around Italian holidays for future trips.
We loved going on the tours. We learned so much. But we were also happy for the free time we were given to do things on our own.
