Used an agency to purchase rather than direct from CIE

My itinerary showed that we were suppose to be given dinner on the first night but we were not given that. We didn't make any dinner reservations and but the time we found out everything was booked up. Then on the ferry from Scotland to Ireland we had to prove to the bus driver that lunch was suppose to be provided by C. I. E. He then called headquarters to confirm that. I don't thing we should have had to do that.

Our bucket list trip did not disappoint!
We enjoyed the itinerary of both countries and the accommodations/meals provided. Due to poor weather conditions in Western Scotland, we were not able to go to the Isle of Skye (ferries not running and bridge closed). Our Scottish Guide Anika and driver Nigel worked hard to find alternatives that became highlights (Urquart Castle ruins, Inverness, Balnuaran of Clava (prehistoric site stone ruins). We were pleasantly surprised to have wine/beer included with some of our meals. Another bonus was the rest stop at an Irish pub where we were served an alcoholic beverage and entertained with some Irish music/song. We really enjoyed the special Scottish night dinner/entertainment in Edinburgh and Irish night in Killarney. Our guides and bus drivers in both Scotland and Ireland were knowledgeable and very personable. The team work between the guide and driver most definitely added to the great experience.
