Kilronan Castle

a night view of Kilronan Castle

The fairytale Kilronan Castle in Roscommon welcomes guests through magnificent medieval gates which open on to a meandering driveway through an ancient forest. This luxury castle hotel sits on 40 acres of idyllic parkland, and has been transformed from the ancestral home of a royal family into a regal hotel with a luxurious spa. Antique furniture and four-poster beds add to the atmosphere. Enjoy gastronomic delights created in the award-winning kitchen from locally-sourced produce. Walk the exquisite estate, enjoy beauty and relaxation treatments, or take a dip in the heated indoor pool. (Tip: You can also stay in Kilronan Castle on our Scots-Irish Tour, one of our guided vacations.)

Mount Falcon Estate

Mount Falcon Estate in County Mayo is a haven of rural charm and contemporary elegance, set on 100 acres of woodland, lakes and rivers. This Victorian Gothic manor, dating back to the 19th century, seamlessly blends historic grandeur with modern indulgence. Famed for award-winning food, the Kitchen Restaurant uses only fresh, local produce, with wild game in the winter, and produce grown in their own garden. The estate also offers fishing, falconry, clay shooting, golf, walking and cycle on forest trails.  The spa features a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and a fully equipped gym.

Ballynahinch Castle

Ballynahinch Castle, set against the mountains of Connemara
In the heart of captivating Connemara, Ballynahinch Castle stands as a beacon of tranquility and charm. Surrounded by 700 acres of lush woodland along the banks of the Ballynahinch River, against a backdrop of the Twelve Bens mountain range, this 17th-century castle exudes an aura of timeless grace. The serene atmosphere is enhanced by roaring open fires, antique furnishings, and breathtaking views. Take a boat trip from the picturesque pier of Roundstone on the hotel’s boat, the Nancy Lee, to visit a nearby seal colony and the idyllic island of Inishlacken. Enjoy a picnic, a guided walk of the estate or through the nearby hills, or go cycling or fishing. The elegant restaurant was voted Best Hotel Restaurant in Ireland by Food & Wine Magazine in 2021, and features the best of local and estate produce.

Wineport Lodge

The Lodge’s origins are in the dining room, which opened in 1993; as the reputation for great food grew, the Lodge grew around it. The restaurant remains at the heart of Wineport Lodge today, featuring rustic, unpretentious food, generously served.
