Places visited were excellent, some unnecessary. Some places, could have spent less time and given more time at the larger, highlighted stop for the day. Most days were long and grueling, need a vacay after this vacay !

Guide and driver were excellent. Itinerary was good but would have liked some more time at some venues.

Our tour director and bus driver were fantastic. My major disappointment was the location of the hotels, particularly the hotels in Tavistock, Chester, York and Edinburgh. These hotels were allocated outside of the cities which limited access to points of interest during free time at the hotel.

Tour was very well planned, kept to the time schedule but was able to make a couple xtra stops as time allowed. The driver and TG were a wealth of knowledge. Had a couple hiccoughs with the transport to and from the airport but was not CIE's fault and Barbara in CS was exceptional in rectifying the situation. Would recommend to others and plan to take another trip.

t This was the second time we have travelled with CIE, and the booking experience went quite a bit better. Last year we booked an Ireland tour and encountered several problems in the beginning of the booking..

The trip was great, the tour guide John was fantastic. But the hotels and inn’s needed a/c that works properly and walk-in showers for older and semi-handicap people like myself. The last hotel in London, Hilton double tree was the only one that had both.

excellent. Only problem we ran into was on arrival at Heathrow no one waiting to take us to our Hotel. Took me an hour to figure out what to do as we couldn’t get phones to work. After I quit panicking I looked up exact name of hotel and address from print out and managed to get a taxi. Cost us forty pounds. Would like refund. But Already picked out CIE trip for next year. Looking forward to it.

We had a little problem coordinating the airport to hotel transfers. They were eventually cleared up by our travel agent. We were traveling as a group of eight, but our transfer from Heathrow to Windsor, instead of being for our entire group was for four different vehicles which all arrived at different times

The Highlights of Britain tour was amazing. From beginning to end, all went well. The tour director (Kim Pyle) and bus driver (Mark) worked fantastically well together ensuring we each had beautiful memories to take home.

Customer: Debra Marie Mcbride

The tour was very well organized and we enjoyed it. We understand if we want to see everything that we need to get up early and get going. Near the end it does get tiring. Example-We went to York, England and we were disappointed we didn’t have an afternoon, or longer to see the city. If our Hotel was closer to the town we could have walked on the Wall or taken in some more sights. We would have liked our travel package mailed to us before our trip-which I was told it would be. We didn’t get it till we joined the tour, so therefore we had extra backpacks and other things to pack around with us and fit into our baggage.
