Mandatory Requirements for Travel
  • All guests traveling with CIE Tours through December 31, 2022 are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Each guest must complete a CIE Tours Pre-Trip Health Questionnaire. See a sample here; the actual form will be included in your documentation packet sent approximately two weeks prior to departure.
    • Children who do not qualify for vaccination must be able to produce a verifiable negative COVID-19 test result in the form of written documentation (paper or electronic copy). The negative test result must show that the test was conducted within 72 hours before the start of the trip.
    • Because the definition of “fully vaccinated” may change between now and departure, we recommend that all guests plan to receive a booster dose before travel.
  • For guests traveling with CIE Tours as of January 1, 2023, COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters are highly recommended, but no longer required.
  • Ensure that your passport is current and will be valid for at least six months after returning home from your trip. Note that the average processing time for a United States passport is usually six to eight weeks, but COVID-19 related delays may increase this to 12-18 weeks. Read more about applying for a passport.
Air Travel
  • Return flights to the U.S: At this time, there are no requirements for U.S. citizens to re-enter the United States. Read more here.
  • Return flights to Canada: At this time, fully vaccinated travelers have no requirements to re-enter Canada.  Travelers who do not qualify as fully vaccinated must provide proof of a valid pre-entry test result when entering Canada by air, land or sea. Read more here.
