Well run tour. Good accommodation. You took us to very interesting locations. The tour director was outstanding and very knowledgeable and very well prepared.

Customer: Mr. Bill Lawrence Thompson

I would buy from them again. For this part of the trip, the booking recommendation was fine and the tour itself was lots of fun with good fellow passengers and good guide and driver.

The trip was well planned and organized. The places we visited and venues were well thought out as well. The booking service was very clear and transparent as to what we needed to do in order to make the trip successful.

Great tour. Excellent itinerary. Suggest an extra day in Glasgow. Only include 1st night with dinner and leave dinner open on second night. Suggest Novotel Hotel be reviewed as the food was a disgrace, the service poor and the breakfast set up poorly supervised and executed. Guides and drivers were excellent

Everything went through flawlessly. No mix-ups or problems whatsoever. I am a return customer and was not disappointed! I hope to use CIE Tours on a trip to England in the next several years.

Customer: Mary Grace Hobby

Date: 06/23/2019

Our tour guide, Linda, and our driver, Davie, were each good natured and seemed knowledgable about each site. They played music along the way relevant to the territory we were passing through, and shared stories about some of the historic figures. Everything seemed so green and clean!!! I wished for longer to linger in the Orkneys, and the Culloden battlefield--the exhibit was so interesting it took most of my time! The Mount Stuart House and garden were grand, but the shopping in Rothesay was non existent -- it was SUNDAY! Still, the trip was wonderful, fellow travelers interesting and personable -- a very pleasant experience for my grandson and me!! I'd do it all over again! Thanks again! Mary Grace Hobby

Excellent tour. Airline bookings allowed sufficient time between flights. Hotel accommodations and meals were very good. Our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Tour guide, Graham Bruce, was exceptional. Knowledgeable, funny, and conscientious. Lodging was all well chosen, comfortable, and clean. Food provided was either very good or excellent. Tour stops were extremely worthwhile and I don’t feel as if I missed anything. Driver was very professional, yet friendly and amusing. His capabilities maneuvering the big coach were simply impressive. THANK YOU for a marvelous tour.

Customer: James Taylor Westermeier

Worked well. Arrangements were done in a timely manner and worked well except Heathrow connection going to Scotland was a little tight.

Customer: Mary Patricia Camp

Date: 05/28/2019

Our experience was not as good as the last time we booked with you 2 years ago. The lady at CIE wasn't as easy to work with as our personal travel agent. We had everything taken care of before and this time had to ask for certain things. Not as easy an experience.

Customer: Bertha May Durbin

Date: 05/27/2019

The trip was very enjoyable. It was nice not having to worry about any of the details. The tour guide was great as was our bus driver! They felt like family by the end of the tour. Not even our family would have gotten up at 3 am to see us off - but our tour guide did!! The itinerary was well planned and flowed like clockwork. This was my first tour (as opposed to going it on our own) and I would highly recommend it to friends!

Very easy to book with

Customer: Ernest Clayton Gay Jr

Date: 11/11/2018

Our trip was wonderful. Our guide Perri was exceptional. We were surprised that there was an "elite bus" of CIE private customers that followed our same route. They seemed to feel they were superior in every way to us. In fact some wondered if they were told not to interact with us. However, Perri's group definitely had the nicer clients. We truly enjoyed each other and we definitely had the better guide. In the future I wouldn't run 2 separate buses on the same schedule. It just makes for someone feeling slighted. If it had been our first CIE trip it probably would have been our last.

Customer: Julie Marie Bauer

Date: 11/11/2018

All was very good save for the fact when my husband and I got to Scotland, they paperwork had me traveling with another woman -- and no record of my husband. Our tour papers were correct but somehow there was a snafu. Our tour director had it handled after the first couple of nights.

Customer: Ms. Susan Lippa

Date: 11/12/2018

Tour was great. Not all the hotels were up to par. There was also a lot of bus time that could have been avoided with different locations.

Customer: CIE Tours Customer

Date: 11/10/2018

Well organized. Good guides.

Customer: Mr. Peter Chaperlin

Date: 11/08/2018

The arrival experience was disappointing. I had to find and pay for my transfer to the first hotel. The rest of the tour was well done.

Customer: Michael Loren Mac Kenna

Date: 11/07/2018

The booking process was very simple and flexible.

Customer: Frances Laura Frost Smith

Date: 11/07/2018

It was mostly done on line and everything went fairly well. I did have to call with some questions but they were answered quickly. I did explain that I wanted seats with a lot of leg room and I mentioned business class but somehow that did not get through to them. My husband hates flying and I figured going business class would be more comfortable and next time I will onsis on it. We made reservations quite early so I wish they would have just told me up front that we were in economy. Other than that everything went smoothly.

Customer: Judith Marie Mclean

Date: 11/07/2018

The staff, tour guide, planning and implemenation of the tour were all excellent. However, I was unaware that we would be on the bus most of the day, every day to see everything we saw. I also had difficulty being served my dietary needs and was always the last served. This often made my breakfast delayed to the time when we needed to leave the hotel for the day. I also had the unfortunate experience of having a large amount of money stolen in one of the highland hotels. Thus, I would not book a CIE tour again.

Customer: Ms. Mary Dianne Stephens

Date: 11/08/2018

From the experiences to the people( Brian) our bus driver and (Peri) our to guide we had an AMAZING trip

Customer: CIE Tours Customer

Date: 11/08/2018

It was disappointing that the pre-trip information (packsacks) were not sent to us in Canada. The driver and guide were excellent. A great trip and covered a lot of Scotland. We would recommend it.

Customer: Christine Chandler Hansen

Date: 11/06/2018

I would recommend CIE without hesitation. The tour guides, meals, and accomadations were exceptional. I feel CIE is the best way to not only see another country but to learn about the land, its people, and culture.

Customer: CIE Tours Customer

Date: 11/06/2018

Booking was pretty good, felt the first girl I had contact with didn't really understand what I wanted. Went with it anyway. Others that I dealt with were good. Had to call back to get the transfers. Should have been offered from the start since I bought the airfare from them.

Customer: CIE Tours Customer

Date: 11/06/2018

My only major complaint was that when I arrived in Glasgow I had to hire a taxi to take me to the appointed hotel. For some reason they didn't have me booked for a transfer from the airport to this hotel. It was highly inconvenient and I never had this experience before!

Customer: Joseph P Scalzitti

Date: 11/06/2018

Tour of Scotland was great. We saw all the highlights of the entire country. Bus and hotels were excellent, food great, and tour guide Linda McKay was fantastic.

Customer: Mr. Elie Litov

Date: 11/06/2018

Great The tour itself was pleasant. The route was great. For me personally the tour guide was a wonderfulwarm person but her heavy Scotish accent prevent me from following the tour stories. In some of the hotels the shower did not function properly.

Customer: Jennifer Jo Shakir

This holiday tour of Scotland was the second time I traveled with CIE. The best by far! I wouldn’t contemplate booking with any other company. Our brilliant tour guide Graham was so friendly and knowledgeable.

Yes I would recommend them to friends and famiy.

Customer: Christy Anna Petill

Date: 11/07/2018

Customer: Mr. Steven Lawrence Arquette

there were some very good hotels but one was terrible, there were some good included meals but a few were not good at all,in fact we went out and found a better place to eat a couple of times.we went on another tpur a couple of years ago and it seems CIE has dropped its standards.we plan on more of this type of trip but will have to think long and hard before going with CIE again.
