October 2024 Scottish Isles and Glens

Our CIE Scottish Isles and Glens tour in late October 2024 was wonderful. Our guide Graham B. and coach driver Jim R. were fantastic. We were late season and a few places were closed (this should be looked into per posting itinerary to clients) and the day on Orkney saw a HUGE storm so we didn't get to visit Skara Brae (but you can't control the weather).

Evergreen Ireland North - 7 Days/6 Nights
The North of Ireland with CIE Tours

Very good tour. This was our 3rd tour with CIE. Our bus driver / tour guide was excellent. The hotels were ok except for the Marriott which was excellent. The bus was comfortable. We wish we could have started an hour lter than we did every day.

The dinners with entertainment were excellent and very enjoyble. We will travel with CIE in the future.

We look forward to traveling with CIE in the future.

Scots Irish Tour - 15 Days/14 Nights
We had a fabulous tour of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.

The tour exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were excellent, great food. We picked this tour because of the itinerary and were not disappointed. Our driver, Darragh was amazing and really made the experience special. He was very personable, keeping us constantly entertained. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we toured giving us many historical and fun facts and informing us about everyday life in Ireland. Darragh cared for each and every one of us on the coach and made sure all our needs were met. I would most definitely book again with C.I.E. and would absolutely recommend it.

Taste of Italy with Sorrento - 10 Days/9 Nights
Italy Tour October 26

It was so wonderful and all the places were great. I would not want to back to the Vatican it was horrendously crowded, and you could not move. Other than this, everything turned out beautifully.

Deanna was the best guide with so much knowledge! She is professional and also has a great sense of humor. I want another tour with her!

Irish Odyssey - 12 Days/11 Nights
Ruff Start to a good tour

Great tour! Ruff start...Long layover between flights...Sitting at airport for 5 hours watched 5 flights leave for Dublin Ireland that we could have been on. Arrived after last transport to hotel left, called USA phone number...they were not open yet do to time difference.. Ended up having to take a cab to hotel, Our first tour left hotel 5 minutes after our arrival so we had NO TIME to use bathrooms, eat anything etc.
After that it was an enjoyable tour.

Best of Ireland South (Tour A) - 8 Days/7 Nights

The itinerary was planned and executed well. Bus driver/guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. Cliffs of Moher was our favorite experience but also enjoyed the Dingle area and guided walking tour of Galway.

Scotland tour

My tour of Scotland was wonderful. If I could go back tomorrow I would. Our tour director, Di, was absolutely fabulous!!! Di was very knowledgeable about Scotland. During our touring days, she knew the best places to stop for lunch and shop. The trip was very well planned!!

I would make or add two changes. One is to stop and see the Kelpies. I have read about them and they are definitely a tour stop. Also, it is possible it would be nice to add in seeing Balmoral since it is fairly close on the trip back down the east side of Scotland. Not necessarily a tour, but just a drive-by stop to say you have seen it.

As I stated earlier, my trip was wonderful!!!! I was so impressed with the CIE tour, I am taking another tour with your travel company to Italy. I am just hoping it is as wonderful as the Scotland tour was!!!!!

Bad experience

The first half was horrible. First day being left alone at the museum was not a good start.

Taste of Italy with Sorrento - 10 Days/9 Nights
Truly a taste of Italy!!

This is our second trip with CIE. First to Ireland in 2002 and now Italy. Both were wonderful and we would recommend CIE to others. The trips are well coordinated with transportation, hotels, restaurants, and tour guides. Lia, our guide, was fantastic!

This being our first trip to Italy and it was a "taste of Italy" for sure. It was fast paced, but hit all the places we wanted to see. We now have ideas for our next adventure in Italy.

Memorable Trip, Fantastic Guides!

CIE made booking this tour effortless. Our tour guide, Linda, was the absolute best, as was our driver Brendan. We loved that breakfasts and dinners were included. All of the excursions, castles, and shopping was fun and interesting. Linda and Brendan interacted a lot with us and the other guests and brought a lot of humor we all appreciated to the trip. I would definitely book another trip with CIE. Everything is organized and explained thoroughly, especially once the trip has begun.

Great tour - lots of beautiful scenery and knowledge

Our tour guide, Pat Smith, was amazing! He knew everything and every ONE! The Merry Ploughboy show was spectacular, the trip to Blarney castle, Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry - all amazing places.

I liked most of the tour but the customer service from go Irish was awful. Also the food at the hotel for breakfast and dinner was not the best.

Best trip of our lives!!

The tour was amazing. We saw so much more of Ireland than we would have been able to on our own. The hotels were first class, food was incredible, our driver Murt O'Shea was fantastic.
