The Irish Pub Tour - 9 Days/8 Nights

Everything was SO well taken care of. Our driver and tour direction, John Dalton, was a wonderful man - he gave us so much information in a droll way, making it fun to learn about Ireland. The hotels were good, the activities fun (especially the dog-herding show), and the food and drink were very good. I would definitely refer this journey.

Scottish & Irish Gold - 15 Days/14 Nights

I was very excited for this trip and to spend time in 2 countries I love. Scotland started off well, it didn't feel too rushed at each location. The tour guide and driver were wonderful. I learned so much about the country's history and culture. The tour guide was able to adapt to certain closed areas (thats what happens when you travel before the tourist season kicks in) and I felt well informed each night.

Unfortunately I did not know that the one trip I booked was actually 2 trips squished together. It felt a little jarring to change tour guides and bus drivers in the middle of the trip, part ways with some guests, meet new guests, and to spend a day "killing time" before arriving in Dublin. I would have much rather made it to Dublin in time to meet the new tour group, have some time in the city, and go for the welcome drinks, instead of meeting them on the bus the next day.

The Ireland portion was much faster paced. It felt like we were constantly moving and did not have enough time anywhere to fully enjoy the sites. The tour guide and bus driver were very nice and knowledgable. I wish we were able to vote on attractions we wanted to stay longer at. It also had a shopping focused day, which seemed out of place and was at a location that was very high end, if we could have opted out of that it would be nice. The music was wonderful wherever we went and Ireland had a lot more "included adult beverages," if you like the Irish coffees.

Just a big note if you are traveling with food allergies/restrictions - these were not always accommodated at each location and often I had to order off menu to receive food that could work. Since the allergies & restrictions were provided in advance, I assumed they would be taken care of at each meal (with maybe just a quick double check). I was often served food with an allergen or there was no record of my restrictions when arriving at each location. I spent a lot of time visiting grocery stores to supplement my food. It would also be nice to have protein options for vegetarians rather than big salads.

Overall I am glad with all the history that I learned, the landscapes that I visited, and the folklore provided by the guides.
