We were impressed with how well all activities including hotel stays, luggage handling, walking tours and special visits to attractions were organized. It was an entirely hassle free tour. We loved the selection of hotels and the meals were of excellent quality. The highest compliments go to our tour director, Dermot Honan. His narration throughout the tour was widely knowledgeable, interesting, thorough and captivating. We hung on his every word and wished we could have taken with us a written version of all the valuable information he shared with us about Ireland. His professional manner and excellent driving made the rides in the comfortable coach a pleasure. We will definitely recommend your CIE tours to our friends.

I loved every minute of it. We saw and experienced things that we never would have been able to do on our own. Our bus driver/tour guide was excellent. He filled us in on Irish lore and was amusing every mile we made

I booked through Affordable Tours, not CIE directly, but once I booked and had questions about the itinerary, I was pleased to find I could communicate directly with CIE and I appreciated their quick responses. I must give my highest rating to our main guide/motor coach driver, Mr. Jerry McCarthy. He made everything go smoothly, safely, with interesting and educational stories and great humor throughout. He deserves a bonus!!

CIE Hotel was poor!! Put us in an area that was way too far from the elevators and required changing elevators multiple times due to this unpopular location!! Hotel was in Galway!! If you continue to use this hotel, due to distance and inconvenience, suggest area be used for younger individuals !!

Our trip with CIE Tours was beyond expectations. We were met at the airport by a very friendly man holding a CIE placard (easy to identify an unexpected). He got us a cab, (CIE paid) and off we went for our wonderful "Irish Legends Tour" Being taken care of upon after arrival is so important. After a long flight and change of time, we were exhausted. CIE started us off on the right foot. Our Driver was so knowledgeable and shared history and stories along the way. Gerry was the safest and best driver I have ever been with. The way he drove that bus along narrow roads and hairpin turns was unbelievable perfection. Hotels were all lovely and each of their staff, friendly and helpful. The only criticism would be that we didn't could have had a bit more free time. Favorites of the tour: The Immigration Museum, Each of the walking tours, excellent guides. The drives through the beautiful Irish countryside. All said, I would book another tour with CIE in a heartbeat. Can we have Gerry drive that bus also?

Up until our return home, we were having a 5 Star experience. The morning of our departure, a wind storm hit the area and wound up cancelling our flights. There were no communications from CIE or any of the airlines and we were left to manage this situation initially all on our own. When we were able to finally communicate with CIE, we learned that we were flying a completely different route home on different airlines. We were also initially scheduled in Delta Comfort+ on our full return home but wound on a different airline in Economy Class. To date we have not received an apology for these changes nor a refund for the higher fare initially paid for Delta Comfort+. The change in return also caused us to get home a full day late. Our tour guide/driver while in Ireland, Dermot, was absolutely fantastic and was a great ambassador for both Ireland and CIE. We would take another tour with him without hesitation!!!

Definitely would use CIE again. Great service and reps.

The tour was well organized and professionally guided. The only problems were there were at least 3 activities packed into each day that included walking at least a mile each. The free time was not included as an activity. I think this is fine for some. But it should be accurately described when booking.

The tour was a great experience for my new husband as he had never visited Ireland before, for me it was a wonderful reminder of previous tours of Ireland and visiting places from my last tours of your wonderful country. Our tour driver Gerry made the tour even more interesting with his explanation of the history and geography of your land

Customer: Sandra Lee Mclaughlin

Date: 11/06/2018

Our tour guide John Callinan was amazing. He was funny and informative. He was polite and respectful. He really made the trip wonderful. I enjoyed most of the excursions, with the exception of the free time in Dublin. There wasn't enough time to do what we wanted, and we were kind of left adrift. There was quite a range with the quality of the accommodations from very good to quite poor. Especially the hotel in derry which was very poor, and we unfortunately spent 2 nights there.
