Best of Spain - 9 Days/8 Nights
A well organized whirl wind tour of the highlights in the cities of Spain.
The hotels were nice. Our guide and the guides at the sites were very good. It was very well organized. The coach was very nice. The dinners and breakfasts were very good. We had a wonderful meal in Barcelona the last night. There was a lot of walking that needed to be done, but the pace was reasonable. I would recommend this tour for those who are in good shape and can manage walking, standing and getting on and off the bus. There is some down time which was helpful.

Great Icelandic tour
It was very nice seeing so many sites in the entire country. Our tour guide, Kat, and bus driver Siggi, were great! So nice to have locals describing the country and various sites.

Ring road trip
Beautiful fall colors. Good mix of nature, geology, and Icelandic heritage. Enjoyed our guide Kat's singing and playing Icelandic music on the bus. Great ring road itinerary with good hotels and food. Saw auroras and beautiful golden fall colors.

Scottish Daytripper - 6 Days/ 5 Nights
Tour guide, Steven and excellent, safe driver were both very compassionate to other's with special needs.
Beautiful tours, plenty of stops overall wonderful vacation. I was very surprised by the service at the first evening's dinner is was sub par what I expect from CIE on my 4th tour. The kitchen sent food out to 1/2 a table, each person was eating a different course, and food was not very good or hot. I think Fitzgerald's Woodland Resort in Adare, Ireland last year has raised my expectations of what CIE provides. Overall Govener's Hotel in Glasgow was a disapointment. Rooms were promised ready by 1pm, and not available until 2pm. If the tour begins at 2pm, people should not be waiting in lobby with suitcases. 50% of wake up calls were received. Food ran out often at breakfast buffet, bananas, milk, eggs etc. Only one toaster available.
The rest of tour was excellent, I think CIE should reconsider their hotel in Glasgow.

The best way to see Iceland
Kat and Sigge were the most amazing guides!! Kat was entertaining and educated us on everything Icelandic in the best way! The best part hands down were the Vok baths and Geo Spa. The black sand beaches with the chunks of ice were unlike anything I ever seen! Accomodations, information given, stories told, experiences, photos and the people left such found memories that will last a lifetime! What a wonderful experience.
I loved that we went all the way around Iceland and really enjoyed being the only people in certain areas.

Northern Lights Quest of Iceland - 6 Days/5 Nights
Breathtaking Adventure!
The tour was nice and well organized. However, our director was ill. He had trouble talking without coughing and was visibly not feeling well. As his health improved over the days, he did gain a bit of energy and personality the last day and a half. He probably should not have been on the trip.
The weather was unusually rainy and we weren’t able to see any Northern Lights so the tour name is not completely accurate.
It would have been nice to know how many people were in the group prior to booking. Some people, like us, would prefer a small smaller group, more agile group. There were too many that were unable to maneuver or endure the trails and duration of the sites.

Great tour. Lunch at the winery was a highlight! Was a bit too much bus time with no stops at a point of interest.

Fantastic trip-they fit so much into just a few days. Our guide and driver were fantastic. Although we we in a larger bus/group than we expected, our guide kept everyone on time & the group was agile.

Our guide Kat was very informative, as well as hilarious! Bus driver Siggy went out of his way to be helpful. Amazing sites and overall fantastic experience. Absolutely would ( and have) recommended CIE.

Ireland Walking & Hiking: The Northern Coast - 9 Days/8 Nights
Embracing the majestic, tempestuous, untamed beauty of the Irish Coast!
Wonderful trip to the North Coast of Ireland. This walking/hiking tour was transcendent. Our tour guides led our small but mighty group of 13 through forests, mountains, cliffs, islands, and rivers for 9 days. We experienced the rugged and pristine beauty of the coast, expansive beaches, and national parks. We visited cities and towns that gave us a feeling for the authentic culture and people of Ireland. Our two guides, Fiona and Samzie, are a dynamic team. They were remarkable: strong, resilient, kind, and patient. They took care of all our needs, challenged us to experience the country, and supported us in every way. Our group was a lovely collection of people who wanted to experience this magical land while creating new bonds with others who shared the same inquisitive spirit of adventure. I highly recommend this as a way to explore Ireland and would love to investigate another section of the Irish coast with this team.

Had a great time.
Loved all of the cities and village and lakes. They booked really nice hotels, and all travel plans went smoothly. Also, loved our tour director, Arianna.

CIE Great Again!
We had the most wonderful Spring in Ireland with CIE with Alastair as our Tour Director. This Fall, we went with CIE again to see Iceland. CIE meets you at the airport and transports via really nice buses to the next nice hotel. The meals are very good. Icelandair would NOT be my choice of airline (they only servie water on an international flight!!), but we did get there safely which is the main thing. CIE itineraries are absolutely wonderful!! Thank you, thank you again for the wonderful experiences, food, lodging, & entertainment. We really feel like we experienced the culture of the countries! I wish our tour director for the Iceland trip was as warm and helpful as Alastair was for Ireland, but we learned not to ask her questions. I am not sure she enjoyed her job. Oh well, our group of 25 people still had a most wonderful time with each other, and we learned to Google our questions as we toured. The three farms we visited in Iceland were special, the waterfall stops and hikes were beautiful, the glacier hikes were interesting, and the geothermal experiences were SUPER fun!! We even saw some Northern Lights!! I would DEFINITELY tour with CIE again!!!!

Ireland Walking & Hiking: Cork to Kerry - 9 Days/8 Nights
Great way to see Dingle and the Dingle peninsula.
Nice introduction to Cork and Dingle. I liked the places we walked, the hotels and the meals that were included were all good.
I thought the guides could have been more convivial and shared more advance information on daily activities. Generally the 2 guides walked together at the front of the group, rather than 1 in front and 1 in the rear.

Perfect Vacation
This trip was fabulous! Our tour guide Ary was first rate. She was professional, knowledgeable and funny. We loved her! The food was fantastic and the itinerary was everything we hoped it would be. We met some of the best people on our bus. Highly recommend CIE. Looking to tour with them to Ireland/Scotland and possibly Iceland in the upcoming years.

The tour was well organized and diverse. The daily tours were very good and gave us the opportunity to see a lot and learn a lot about the location. We also got to experience several opportunities to experience local life with farm to table dining and truffle hunting.

An Outstanding tour.
Perfect vacation, all of our needs were met and exceeded. The accommodations were first class all the way. Our driver/tour guide was outstanding and very well versed in all aspects of the tour.
