Day 1Glasgow Highlights & Kelvingrove

Your tour departs from your hotel at 2:00 PM for a panoramic tour of this dynamic, friendly city with its wealth of Victorian architecture and modern culture. Drive around George Square and see its collection of monuments to famous Scots. Visit Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, a splendid, Spanish Baroque-style building housing one of Europe’s finest art collections, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Titian, and Dali. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with your group. (D)

Day 2Loch Lomond & Loch Ness Cruise

Depart for the scenic Highlands, driving alongside Loch Lomond, resplendent with lush islands, then across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe – seeing mountains, moors and waterfalls along the way. Stop at Fort Augustus for a cruise on Loch Ness, famed for its beauty as well as the legendary monster. Continue to your elegant manor house hotel in Nairn. (B, D)

Day 3Whisky Tasting & St Andrews

Visit the historic Blair Athol Distillery to discover the art of whisky making and sample a dram. Continue to St Andrews, the “Home of Golf”; take a panoramic drive, then explore the old city independently. Continue on to your gracious manor house hotel outside Edinburgh, set on 1,000 acres of picturesque grounds. Explore and dine independently this evening. (B)

Day 4Edinburgh Castle, City Tour & Scottish Evening*

Take a panoramic tour of Edinburgh to see the main sights, from bustling Princes Street to the wide streets of the 200-year-old Georgian “New Town.” Walk along the Royal Mile, where compact medieval houses reach several stories tall. Visit Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city on volcanic rock, and home to the Scottish Crown Jewels. You’ll have free time to explore in the afternoon, then experience a lively Scottish evening with dinner and traditional entertainment. (July 29 – August 20 departures instead dine independently before attending the spectacular Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on the Castle Esplanade.) (B, D*)

Day 5Independent Day in Edinburgh

Tour Edinburgh independently. Take a transfer to the city center and then spend your day sightseeing as you please on a hop-on, hop-off bus. Dine and explore as you wish into the evening. (B)

2024 Taste of Scotland - 6 Days/5 Night
Wonderful honeymoon ! Well planned out trip with lots of exploring!

We enjoyed the knowledge that was shared with us and recommendations in each city. Our guides were personably and enjoyable to be around. The planned meals were filling and tasty. The coach itself was comfortable and we didn't experience motion sickness like we had feared. The planned sightseeing parts of the tour were great. Overall our biggest complaint was we only did a short trip and didn't have as much time in each city because of that. We wish we had time in Pitlochry to explore the city and would have loved more time in St. Andrews. The accommodations in Edinburgh were lovely, but a little difficult to get into/out of the city; we would commit the full day to going in so we didn't have to go back and forth multiple times.

2024 Taste of Scotland - 5 Days/4 Nights

Hotels were great. Transportation was great. Meals were okay. Sightseeing was good. We ventured off on our own to see what we wanted to see that wasn't offered on the tour. Wish we were able to stop at Culloden since we were so close. The group all knew each other and traveled together, same age group and 90% women so it was very different from what I am used to but overall good tour.

Taste of Scotland - 5 Days/4 Nights - Loved my Taste of Scotland tour

We seen a lot in 4 days, was a whirlwind but well worth it. I would definitely recommend this tour. Hope you get Laurence and Louise.

2024 Taste of Scotland - 5 Days/4 Nights
Fast paced, comprehensive tour of Scotland..

The itinerary gave us a great overview of Scotland and hit major places of interests in four days. Hotels and meals were excellent. Favorite was the Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club. An hour, at most, was not quite enough time for places like the Kelingrove Art Gallery. An additional 30 minutes would have been appreciated.
