Bad start but great trip overall

Excluding issue at start of trip, no transfer to hotel and hotel not open to guests for first day. After the bad start the trip was excellent

Most excellent tour of Ireland!

In my experience, my CIE Tour was amazing. The tour guide and driver were very personable and knowledgeable. The staff connections they had at all the various hotels, stops and excursions were well developed relationships. You could tell that CIE goes out of its way to work with their employees and those they engage on the tours to ensure a great experience for their customers!

Taste of Britain - Cathy LeBlanc

We enjoyed our vacation with CIE Travel. Accommodations were beautiful. We were a bit disappointed with our trip to Liverpool, nothing was provided about the Beetles as mentioned in the itinerary. We arrived in the evening and left early in the morning.
no time for a tour. We were left on our own more than we expected. We realize this is a city tour but again, this is why we chose a tour company vs going on our own. It would have been nice to have an "afternoon tea" included vs a whiskey tour.

CIE Tours were a pleasure to work with. The initial phone contacts were professional, efficient and friendly. The service provided was amazing. Handling luggage through out the trip was great. The backpacks provided were helpful. I would highly recommend them.

Really Enjoyed this Fast Paced Trip

Enjoyed the locations, our driver Marie, and our first tour guide in Scotland.

Do wish we could have stayed overnight in Edinburgh and Galway but hard to fit everything in.

Taste of Ireland Tour

First, it was truly a "Taste" of Ireland as we had many different experiences that we probably could not have done on our own. We toured Dublin city and the Dublin Castle and then had a great meal and show at the Merry Ploughboy Pub.
Additional stops throughout the week included the Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, the Skellig Experience, sheepdog demo, Cliffs of Moher and Galway.
Throughout the tour, our director / driver, Niall, was very informative and funny! And he ensured that we all kept the schedule.

Good Beginner Tour

TD& driver were great. Included dinner at the hotel in Bath was wonderful. Overall a great starter tour for someone who hadn't been to the UK before. I brought my daughter on her 2nd trip & this fit her holiday timeline. I usually just come on my own. TD had her own hidden treasure she shared with us on one of our rest stops that was great! All the hotels were fine. Liverpool was great a great location. The only one that I have anything negative to say about is the one in Edinburgh. Distant location, rooms were cold & many had heaters or other items that didn't function. Also the food left much to be desired, both breakfast & dinner as you basically had to eat there because it was so far from anything else. Otherwise very nice.

Great short tour to see more of Scotland

I did the Taste of Scotland tour. It was definitely fast paced and a lot of bus riding, but it was worth it to see the highlands area in a short period of time. I'm glad they gave us free time to explore in St. Andrew and Edinburgh. We really enjoyed our distillery tour as well. Our tour guide that was with us for 4 days was excellent and our tour guide/driver was great and amazed us all driving through busy Edinburgh.

The hotels we stayed at all had nice rooms and bars and the food provided was excellent.

A few hiccups along the way during this enjoyable tour.

The tour director, Dianna was excellent. we enjoyed all the activities except going to leather and jewelry stores unlike the glass blowing in Murano, it was just a sales pitch in Florence. We did have a problem with luggage transfer in Rome, the porters put my wife's luggage in an empty room. It was missing for over three hours without Dianna's involvement the hotel was not taking seriously enough for our liking. we did really enjoy the tour. it was our fourth CIE tour.

Excellent guides on our Scotland tour. Our driver Marie Butler was fabulous

Great guides. Hotel choices ok. Scottish culture dinner very disappointing. Tell travelers not to expect hair dryers in Scotland!
