Taste of Scotland & Ireland - 10 Days/9 Nights
Great itinerary and cover a lot of ground in a short time period.. Excellent hotel accommodations and well thought out itinerary. See all the highlights and get a great Taste of Scotland and Ireland. Did not like the fact there never was a CIE representative on the trip as it was all subletted out to drivers and guides. The initial welcome dinner was okay, no excitement or build up.

Mystical Ireland - 8 Days/7 Nights
The Tour Guide/Bus Driver (John Keane) was beyond excellent. We especially appreciated all of his stories related to growing up in (some of) the areas we were touring. The breadth of his grasp of Irish history and music was also impressive. All of the guides for our 3 walking tours were also extremely good. The hotels were all great, including most of the breakfasts.

Jewels of Ireland - 14 Days/13 Nights
We saw so much of Ireland. We learned alot about Ireland and it's history. The best part of our CIE Tour was our Guide and our Bus Driver. They made every day a pleasure. They were knowledgeable and always made sure we knew where to find exxactly what we wanted to see.

Taste of Scotland & Ireland - 11 Days/10 Nights
Exceptional guide…Billy was knowledgeable and made the trip enjoyable. He is also an amazing driver and I felt completely safe. We saw many wonderful things….it was an amazing trip. It truly was a taste of Scotland and Ireland. In order to see all that we saw, required too much time on the coach. For me personally, I should have chosen a trip that focused on fewer places. Overall, great trip.

London Daytripper - 6 Days/5 Nights
Great trip, with a good value. Tours were well thought out, we liked one hotel for the duration. Our tour guide Lisa Richardson was the absolute best! So knowledgable!

Irish Adventure - 9 Days/8 Nights - great experience
The trip was really elevated by the knowledge, personality, and the individual attention of our tour director, Mert O'Shea. We were on the go during the entire experience . There is much to say by going with a small group. It did make a positive difference. I must admit that I did not really care much for the food, with the exception of the great breakfasts. I am not saying that the food was bad, but not really for my taste. Overall, I would recommend the tour. CIE is lucky to have an employee such as Mert O'Shea. The accomodations were fine.

Jewels of Ireland - 14 Days/13 Nights
Brandon, our guide, and Dave’s, our bus driver, were very helpful and very knowledgeable about our travels. It was wonderful seeing so many sites in Ireland without worrying about where we were staying or where we were going to eat. We did have many meals on our own, but it was not a stressful experience.

Organized and Fun!
The tour guide and coach driver were fantastic. The hotels were nice. Coach was wonderful. Meals were good. Breakfasts were good but other meals okay. The sights were beautiful. I didn't enjoy the Taylor's Three Rock in Dublin. Day 4 with the Giants Causeway and Crosskeys Inn was wonderful.

London Daytripper - 6 Days/5 Nights
Wonderful service with taking initial reservations, flights, etc. Perhaps some additional assistance when getting flight tickets together, better communication on what happens with the tour from airport to hotel, how group meets, etc., especially for first timers.

Scottish Daytripper - 6 Days/ 5 Nights - May 2024
This was my second time with a CIE tour. And both times have been phenomenal. I am the type of person that loves to just be put on a bus and tell me where to go and bring me to places so I don’t have to think about it .
This recent Scottish day tripper one was Something I wanted to try out because the hotel stays the same as opposed to my other tours where you had to pack up and moved every couple days. I honestly loved both equal . we stayed in the grovesner Glasgow hotel location all week. Lovely hotel. Great atmosphere. Breakfast every morning got a little repetitive because there was nothing different at all. And no AC. Or screens on the windows , But gets cool at night if you leave them open. And a fan was supplied. Still a gorgeous hotel.
Our tour guide Oyna was the nicest most knowledgeable guide ever ! Her bubbly personality right off the bat made me so excited to have this tour with her. She has so much information to tell you about all these different things that I learned so much just listening to her. She is passionate about her job and she loves what she does. She was paired with our bus driver Graham. And that man can drive a bus, I was impressed many times with how he maneuvered the bus throughout the highlands and tiny little roads to give us tours of an island. Always pleasant and friendly. They made a great team and you always had a great day touring. They truly made a lovely imprint on my vacation memories

Irish Odyssey - 12 Days/11 Nights- Irish Overview
As a bus tour, it was excellent, but . . .This is a bus tour that needed to cover a lot of ground - all of Ireland and Northern Ireland - so there was a lot of bus time sitting. I was glad not to have to drive the distances myself, but it was a lot of boredom between stops.
The bus did stop about every hour and a half which was good to stretch, *** and snack. The stops were varied and covered many different interests - sheep dogs, a family farm, a sports bar, china production and amazing natural wonders. There was really something for everyone.
The bus driver was knowledgable and courteous, even when 4 people were over an hour late returning to the meeting place. I enjoyed how our seats changed each day, so there was no territorialism and we were able to interact with all of the interesting fellow travelers.
The luggage was handled efficiently and quickly. Some of the hotels were a little worn with so-so food and amenities, but most were fine with speedy check in..I enjoyed the variety of arranged visits, even tho some were not ones I would have chosen. A couple of the hotels need to be perked up or eliminated. Food was hit or miss, as seen in the breakfast buffets. . . Some excellent, one or two were so-so.
One hotel we had to change rooms as we had requested two separate beds only to be confronted with one full size. Then no training on the portable AC, so two nights were quite hot.
