Classic Sicily - 8 Days/7 Nights
Decent experience with a few recommendations for CIE
Visiting Sicily was a life long dream of mine due to my heritage. I have to say that it was beautiful but the tour itself was a bit dissappointing in several ways. Unfortunately most had to do with the tour guide. Poor communication with changes to itinerary and not very knowledgeable about many of the sights on the tour. Honestly seemed disinterested. However the quides for our walking tours did make up for the lack of the tour guides knowledge. When talking to the group on the bus she may have been talking to herself as we couldn't hear but her perhaps it was because she spoke facing forward. The winery tour was ok however it was not what I personally expected. While it was informative the enviorment was very modern without that old world feel. The Honey tour was a waste of time. We all expected to see how the honey was processed but instead it was just a place to purchase honey, olives and oil. With olive trees everywhere in abundance perhaps replace the Honey tour with a visit to an olive grove to see how all those olives get processed into oil. The Hotels were all great however the food at these places left much to be desired. I'd suggest adding more local dinning experiences instead of eating a the hotels. The bus was very comfortable and clean.
Even though I had a few negative things to say here I would totally recommend CIE Tours and just hope you have a good tour guide. They really do make a difference in the experience. Guess we expected the same level from the guide as we experienced on our Ireland tour last year. We will be using CIE tours again in the near future.

It was a well organized trip thanks to our CiE guide Murt O’Shea. The man is e gem!! Funny as could be. A walking encyclopedia of Irish history and culture.. Murt enhanced our trip by his mere presence.

Best Way to see a Country - CIE Tours!
Excellent. CIE is buttoned up. We loved the intro backpacks with gifts and booklet that answered tons of questions. Our guide Dennis was amazing - he made the trip!

Best vacation Ive had in a long long time!!!
Very well planned, Food was good, tour guide (mark) was exceptional. Hotels were wonderful and somehow we avoided long lines everywhere!!! There were options to strike out on our own, special needs were dealt with every step of the way. Mark changed the bus seating daily so everyone had different vantage points for pictures. Plenty of comfort stops were planned and Hotels were ready for our arrivals and luggage was handled very professionally If we go to scotland (which we will consider) CIE is our first call!!!!!!

Our tour guide Betty was the best! She shared stories and songs along the way. We especially liked how each stop along the tour gave us another layer of the Scottish culture. The small group experience was friendly and welcoming.

Taste of Ireland (Tour C) - 5 Days/4 Nights
The tour was excellent. However, we were disappointed in that we had a 5 day tour. The first day was a hop-on-hop-off bus in Dublin. We did not get to Dublin until the next morning and we had to wait until the trou started on the second day to be able to check into our hotel. We feel we should have been able to check in when we arrived since we were part of the 5 day tour.

Excellent tour guide and driver. 14 day tour of England's historical highlights was very well organized, although I would personally have preferred to stay in Oxford for a couple of days and omitted Liverpool entirely, as I am not a Beatles fan.

Legendary Unforgettable Incredible Honeymoon
My husband and I had an incredible honeymoon thanks to CIE Tours. My parents used CIE Tours back in 2003 for Ireland only and had recommended them to me for many years. I had been to Ireland back in 2014 on my own due to it being early March and the off season, so I wanted to make sure my honeymoon back there was in May 2026 when the tours were running. I had a much better experience this time around and my husband enjoyed his first trip to Europe. Our Scottish tour guide was Jackie Muller. She gave us an incredible tour of Scotland and wrote a VERY beautiful poem about my husband and me for our honeymoon describing our many adventures in Scotland. Our Irish tour guide and driver was John MacTavish. He is an incredible driver! He is also very personable, knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining. I highly recommend CIE Tours to anyone who wants to see ALOT of Ireland and Scotland.
