Taste of Ireland (Tour A) - 7 Days/6 Nights- The perfect "taste" of Ireland.

CIE "Taste of Ireland" was a great introduction to Ireland. Cliffs of Moher, Blarney, Killarney were all great tours. Accommodations were lovely. Driver/guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Merry Ploughboy evening was fantastic-- food was almost as good as the performances. Would definitely recommend.

Irish Adventure - 8 Days/7 Nights

Denis Green was our excellent driver. He also acted as our tour guide and was very knowledgeable plus having a great sense of humor. Everything went very smoothly on the tour thanks to Denis. Our accommodations were excellent and meals provided were very good. Only the Everglades Hotel seemed a bit below standard compared to the others. It was a wonderful tour with a most compatible group.

Irish Odyssey - 12 Days/11 Nights

We had an amazing experience. Our guide Colm was outstanding! He made this tour even better! Ireland is an absolutely beautiful country! It was everything I expected and more. We saw so many stunning castles, churches, cathedrals, landscapes and landmarks. We visited big cities and small towns, toured all the expected attractions and had unique experiences at local places. We drank, enjoyed Irish food, explored numerous pubs at every stop, listened to many talented musicians and even spent a few nights in a castle! A truly memorable trip.

Scottish Dream - 9 Days/8 Nights-Scotland at its best!

Our guide, Patrick and driver were excellent! Patrick is a walking history book! He adds just enough humor to keep all the facts interesting, and was diligent about keeping us on schedule but looking after the special needs of each passenger. We spent a good bit of time on the bus/coach but it was comfortable and provided usb charging plugs for charging phone & other electronics. The sound system worked great. We rotated seats according to the posted schedule so we sat in all areas of the bus. There is not a restroom on the bus, but we had plenty of rest stops. The sites were all wonderful and gave us a good overview of the different regions of Scotland. All of the hotels were comfortable but one didn't have elevators and some were confusing to get around. The staff did a great job of getting the luggage delivered to our room in a timely manner. One had facilities for self laundry. Breakfast was similar at all the venues. Full English breakfast with eggs, beans, "Canadian" bacon, sausage, bread, croissants, fruit, cheese, juice, yogurt, coffee & tea. Dinner meals offered a choice of entree and were pretty standard fare. We enjoyed having some meals on our own to try local cuisine. The Scottish night was a group affair with other CIE groups joining us for food, music and dancing. The castle tours, especially the Blair & Edinburgh Castles, were wonderful but our favorite fun stop was the sheep dog trials! The Loch Lomond and Loch Ness boat rides was scenic and enjoyable. The highlight of the trip for my husband, who is an avid golfer, was St. Andrews Old Course. Unfortunately, it rained that day so we didn't spend as much time on the course as we would have if it had been sunny. We were blessed with excellent weather the rest of the trip. It was cool and somewhat cloudy most days, but we were comfortable in a light jacket. The backpack was great for day trips. It was big enough to carry an extra jacket/raincoat, charging cables, phone, wallet, & souvenirs. We were traveling with a friend who owns a piece of property in Glencoe and we were hoping to be able to go out and see it since our hotel was only about 10 miles from that location, unfortunately, we weren't able to find a taxi to get us there. Patrick, our guide tried, too, but was unsuccessful. We had a voucher for a Hop Off bus on the last day. It included a voucher to get us into town but not back to the hotel. The taxi back to hotel was costly since we were a long way from town. We were close to the airport so that was a plus on "going home day". The only oversite I found from CIE information was they didn't tell us about the currency in Scotland in the brochure. It said that the currency in Ireland is the Euro so we got Euros for the trip rather than pounds sterling! We needed cash for tips and incidentals, so we were able to find an ATM to get it on our third day. We have some great photos and wonderful memories to treasure.

Tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Driver did a fantastic job navigating narrow roads and winding terrain, often in rainy conditions. I loved everything - gorgeous country, delicious food and delightful people.

Scottish Dream - 8 Days/7 Nights-Beautiful scenery, friendly citizens

Good overview of Northern Scotland. Accomodations were decent and sights were impressive. Best was the countryside. Beautiful scenery all around. A lot of castles to view - perhaps a bit too many. Would have preferred to explore more on our own in places like Isle of Skye and stayed longer. While there were only 12 of this tour - which was great - I would not like to do this tour with the usual 40-50 on the bus. Perhaps offer small group tours.

Highlights of Britain - 14 Days/13 Nights

The itinerary is good and most of the hotels they chose are pretty good except the one in Tavistock, the Bedford Hotel mainly because the hot and cold water faucet are separate in the bathroom sink.

Irish Odyssey - 12 Days/11 Nights-Active and Interesting!

This was a very active tour visiting many places of interest. Our group of 39 was fun to travel with. The hotels provided by CIE were on the better side compared to some other tour operators I've traveled with. I was a little disappointed that although our coach driver, Eaman, was very nice, we did not have a dedicated tour guide. Our last night was spent at Cabra Castle Hotel (amazing staff) but since our driver had to report for another tour, he didn't join us for our farewell dinner (disappointing, and, I thought, unusual) nor did he spend the night, so when a small problem arose for me in the morning, Eaman couldn't be reached. Luckily the hotel staff stepped up to the plate.

Scottish Isles & Glens - 13 Days/12 Nights-Wonderful itinerary with a fantastic tour guide and driver1

We absolutely enjoyed this itinerary as it covered the majority of places we wanted to visit in Scotland. Thanks very much to our tour guide Ian and driver Rob for the added stops at Culloden and Falkirk (Kelpies). We would highly recommend this trip to all who would love 2 weeks in Scotland (and who wouldn't?).
