Excellent tour guides!

I would definitely recommend them. Our tour guide was truly excellent: knowledgeable, personable, witty and funny, extremely patient. He had the challenging task of not only being a tour guide, but also driving around almost 40 of us, herding us from place to place and rounding up latecomers.
The hotels we stayed in were very nice, with great restaurants. I was with a party of four, and we all agreed that we got to see and experience things we wouldn't have done on our own.

The cities visited provided an excellent tour of Ireland and the tour leader was very knowledgeable of the country and provided a great amount of information about the sites visited and the country history.

Everything with our CIE Tour to Ireland was great - it was easy and fast to schedule, the package containing the backpack and items was extremely thoughtful and helpful, and the entire trip was so well planned and executed!

Booked through travel agent. They didn't receive documentation until the last week before our departure. Our backpacks were delivered to our room once we arrived, would have been nice to get them ahead of time like everyone else.

Cie was good overall. There were a few hotels that were not good.

The company we used for booking was not as good as the cie website. That was not apparent until the last day of the tour and throughout the tour on room selections. The tour company (not cie) did not allow us to select room type. They only selected twin room & we had to work hard to change that.
Hotel with marriott was not good. Last night in London hotel was very below standard. Couldn’t even look out window (was walled in section with no view whatsoever. Room was very small and hotel did not offer any adjustment. Believe that was the raedisson. Also have marriott rewards, radios on rewards & hilton rewards, but none let me earn points for the stays. Was not appropriate to decline the points just because the tour rooms were scheduled through cie. Very disappointing to not earn any points for stays or have benefits of status.

Glad we chose CIE tours

Loved the trip and especially that we did not have add ons for additional tours in the various citities.

Colm them driver/guide was the best! Really enjoyed the tour and would do it again.

Airplane credit big factor

I would recommend them to others and although helpful on phone in booking process I felt if I didn't ask the right questions I night not have proceeded as the airplane booking credit was a big factor not noted until late in the process which made it easier for me

Amazing Tour of Ireland

I went through a travel agency which did CIE tour bookings. I was very impressed with the information and backpack that was sent for our trip. Providing us with detailed info and a adapter for our electronic devices.
