Will use Cie again when I find another trip that I wish to take.

It was a wonderful trip best I have taken in 26 years of travel. The only problems I had were 1 Nobody met me at airport-had to find bus, which was a long distance away-fell on way to bus trying to handle luggage and long trip. 2 Bus driver-Guide did not seem to understand that I needed copy of voucher for taxi to return to airport. He did get it the night before I left. The booking process was very good, answered my many questions every time I called. Do not know why my maiden name was on information that went to hotels-it made for much confusion at each hotel with getting correct name.

Great booking for a great trip

Purchasing my trip was very easy through the website and working with Ian McCarthy. Even through multiple emails and questions, the booking service stayed patient and helped me book a great trip to Ireland.

They were very professional, courteous and helpful. They answered all my questions and were very pleasant.

The tour itself was great. We had a problem with meeting up with our guide at the airport. Our flight came into Terminal 1 and the agent was at Terminal 2. We could not find anyone in the Deblin baggage claim area to help us get to Terminal 2. We finally found our way there into the departure area but needed the arrival area. An airport worker finally helped us. I felt that the tour guide should have known we were coming into Terminal 1 and had someone there for us. CIE did set up the flight.

Although the process was smooth, I feel the agent could have given us more information about creating the account to manage our payments and offer a little more information about the tour in general since it was our first tour. We took advantage of a 2-for-1 airline promotion CIE was offering which allowed us to upgrade to economy plus! We initially booked American Airlines flights, but switched to United Airlines, and CIE was great about making the change for us. CIE responded to inquiries in a timely manner.

Outstanding tour guide and driver!

John, our tour guide, and Mick, our driver, were outstanding. They worked tirelessly to ensure we had seamless transitions between activities, meals, and hotels. They were friendly and entertaining. John provided local color for each location we visited.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I would have liked to try more traditional Irish food. We had filet of beef, chicken supreme, and vegetarian curry at most dinners. The appetizers and desserts were excellent. The entrees ranged from good to overcooked, tough, and stringy.

Cie's Taste of Scotland and Ireland, July 2019

CIE's Taste of Scotland and Ireland was an excellent tour! It was easy to book our tour online. their website is very user friendly! We received a package in the mail before the trip with 2 backpacks containing all the daily info, maps, airport transfers, rain ponchos and travel voltage convertor plugs. We were met at the airport by our CIE tour guide and driven to our first hotel. Every hotel was either 4/5 star! Breakfast was included daily too. We saw so much amazing scenery and learned interesting facts about the history of these two beautiful countries. Aiden, our CIE driver/tour guide, did an incredible job getting us to our numerous destinations and keeping us informed about each "stop." If you want to see as much as you can of Scotland and Ireland in 11 days, this is the perfect tour to take.

This was the second time we have travelled with CIE, and the booking experience went quite a bit better. Last year we booked an Ireland tour and encountered several problems in the beginning of the booking..

The package we got to tour ireland was well worth the money with everything that was included the experience was priceless to share Ireland with my children
