Ireland 2023

This was a wonderful trip. Niall was terrific and very knowledgable about Ireland. I gave 4 stars because the first 1 and 1/2 days I was on my own in Dublin. The hotel was in sort of a remote area and the reception employees were less than helpful as far as getting me to a hop on hop off stop. The Guiness Storehouse voucher provided did not work and I took a taxi there and entered with my personally purchase ticket. Again, this is not a reflection of Niall. He was awesome and the trip itself was great. Thank you for a good time.

Ireland CIE Tour

The tour guide was the best and gave us lots of great info.

Best tour guide ever!

Our tour guide was amazing…witty, personable, and a great story-teller! Colm made the history of Ireland come alive. The stops on our tour route were breathtakingly beautiful! It was a truly memorable experience!

Our tour guide knowledge of history was wonderful. Country side breathtaking. Experienced more than I expected. Great hotels. Will definitely book with CIE tours again and certainly recommend them to anyone. Great time, looking forward to our next adventure

2023 Irish Legends - 9 Days/8 Nights

CIE Tours provided an easy way to see some of Ireland without the hassle of driving and booking hotels.

Irish Classic - 13 Days/12 Nights

Our guide, Liam Larkin, did a fabulous job of entertaining us and providing us with information about what we saw in Ireland. Our driver, Joe (last name unknown), transported us safely and efficiently over some very difficult roads.

Taste of Ireland (Tour A) - 7 Days/6 Nights

The Taste of Ireland Tour we were told is called a tease of Ireland because you just don't get to spend enough time in each location which is true. I disliked the self guided tour at the beginning as it was already chaotic enough getting in and situated. The first part of the actual tour, they give you a ride around town which we were already given with the Hop on Hop Off pass. They also give you an option to attend a museum, Guiness store or Distillery, but like I said, there just wasn't enough time and we were unable to use our passes. There is no refund option of you don't get to use your passes. This was the only negative aspect of our trip. The rest was amazing! Our tour guide and driver Eamon was familiar with the land and had a plethora of facts and information that helped use learn more about the country. He made us feel safe when trying to manuever the huge coach bus through the cities and small roads. I feel like he went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of and he had a great sense of humor. The hotel choices were up to standard and we were not disappointed with any of the food options available with the meals that were included. Their communication was prompt and they kept in touch regarding updates in between the time I booked and the trip itself. The price was reasonable for all that was included.Overall I would recommend CIE for tours of Ireland and would use them again in the future.

London Daytripper: England really does swing!

We had a great trip to England. We were a group of seven women and CIE dealt with all of our worries and questions prior to the trip. We really appreciated the service both prior to and during the tour.

Fabulous Irish vacation

Our guide, John Reilly was professional and personable. He treated us like family. The properties were beautiful and very convenient for evening meals. Great value and a great memorable experience.

Private driver/guide, Pat Murphy, was excellent. Hotel accommodation were first class - located in town center allowing easy access to restaurants, attractions and stores.

Beautiful, historical, unforgettable tour!

We saw so much of this beautiful country, from numerous castles to the Isle of Sky and everything in between. Our tour guide, Ian, was so knowledgeable of the Scottish history of each venture that we became totally immersed in each days historical site. My favorite was the Tattoo . It was an unforgettable experience which topped the ending to a fantastic tour. I will miss Scotland but am so grateful that I chose this tour.

Taste of Scotland and Ireland Tour

We had a wonderful experience, a top notch director (Paul) and we enjoyed the opportunity of the Taste of Scotland and Ireland

An excellent itinerary, let down by logistical challenges.

Greatly enjoyed the itinerary. The tour director and the driver were both great as well. Our experience was let down by the inability of CIE to get us our welcome packs until the end of the tour. We would encourage the company to deliver to Australia the packs prior to the tours, as they do for USA. This factor alone means we would not recommend the company to other Australians as things stand. We also found a couple of the hotels below the standard we would expect, especially in Glasgow and Inverness. Some of the more remote hotels were actually more suited to our needs and were not as overwhelmed by multiple tour groups trying to squeeze into lifts and looking for space at breakfast.

Mornings too early!

Excellent planning logistically but 5 hotels in 7 nights was difficult for this retired person. Great tour guide, David, and masterful driver Aiden. We saw a lot and I appreciated that it was rarely that we sat on the coach for more than 1.5 hours. An hour later (9am) boarding the bus would have been preferable.

Icelandic Explorer Tour - 10 days/9 nights

Godafoss waterfall was great. We enjoyed the sheep farm in Bjarteyarsandur, the war and peace museum, the Viking village, diamond beach and all the beautiful waterfalls and scenery. Our guide was great very knowledgeable. Appreciated that our guide was from Iceland. We enjoyed all of the itinerary. The scenery was amazing! Appreciated rotating seats on the motor coach.
