I was very impressed with the Scottish & Irish Gold tour.
I booked this tour through Touring for Less 9 months in advance, and they were very helpful and responsive to questions.

Fantastic trip in EVERY way!!

We recently returned from our Irish Adventure with Brian as our driver/guide. The trip exceeded our expectations—-all the arrangements went flawlessly. Our hotels were top notch & the local guides for our city/town tours were excellent. Can’t stop raving about what a fantastic trip we had & can’t wait to do another tour with CIE.

We had difficulty getting the flights finalized since we were coming early and had to arrange our own connections even though they were picking up others at the airport for our hotel

Trip was relaxing and worry free. Greatly enjoyed the whole experience.

The trip was very enjoyable. It was nice not having to worry about any of the details. The tour guide was great as was our bus driver! They felt like family by the end of the tour. Not even our family would have gotten up at 3 am to see us off - but our tour guide did!! The itinerary was well planned and flowed like clockwork. This was my first tour (as opposed to going it on our own) and I would highly recommend it to friends!

Tour was wonderful. Nigel and Onya are amazing people who love their country. Bad part our luggage was delayed due to American Airlines incompetency. Tripmate does not make filing claim easy.

The tour director and driver were great. They both had very pleasant personalities and were very knowledgeable . They handled check-in and check-out perfectly every time which made things nice and easy for our group.

I would recommend CIE Tours. There are a few things I could suggest for improvement - some around the length of time for each side visit, some around the house and broadened of the planned specialty dinner shows we had.
They did a good job with bus seating, rotating those that sat in the front. The tour guides were great, very knowledgeable and friendly.

We loved the trip. We loved our leader Ivan’s and we loved our fellow travelers. Can’t ask for more than that!

Amazing trip!

We had a great time on the Scottish dream tour. The guide and driver were phenomenal. Every hotel we stayed at was beautiful. The castles, scenery, towns were all gorgeous. I would recommend it to everyone!

Fabulous trip

I thought this was a fabulous tour. Tom, our guide was not only entertaining but he was so knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and his stories, his sense of humor and knowledge made this trip special. There was only one hotel that I felt was not good. I think it was the Granville in Waterford. We had an awful smell in our room, coming from the shower and it was at times hard to stay in the room. Loved the castle but the other hotels were quite nice. My only suggestion is that we needed more free time to shop, just walk around or relax. We were going all day and then had to quickly get ready for dinner or the evening event. Other than that, I thought the places and sites we visited were so interesting. I am hoping to do a trip with your tour group to Scotland, possibly next year and I have highly recommended your company .

Very nice trip and worth the money

Our tour guide was excellent. We thought the destinations we saw or perfect to really get a good feel for both Scotland and Ireland. We did not care for all the locations of all the hotels but for the most part they were good and they were a few hotels that were not up to our standards and we wished we had said something to get better rooms. We also didn't like the fact that the last day of the trip we were on our own without a tour guide. We would have liked to have had someone give us one more day of touring before we left.

Loved the experience -

We were on the Clans and Castles tour; Graham Bruce was our tour guide. Graham was on top of everything and provided a lot of interesting information throughout our travels, including the origins of our surnames. Barry drove the coach and we felt completely safe. From the moment our plane landed until we were back at the departure - Graham and Barry ensured we had an excellent experience. I loved the quirky hotels in the highlands and beautiful views they provided. This experience exceeded my expectations - thank you for the wonderful memories!

Ireland with CIE

I enjoyed the Ireland tour. I felt the booking agents could have been more communicative I was not told that the tour began and ended in Dublin. This resulted in a costly open jaw ticket which cost time and money. This could easily have been avoided by saying the tour ends in Shannon and the bus can return you to Dublin. The food was quite poor throughout the trip and the hotel in Dublin was much too far from the main city.

Wonderful first time trip to Ireland!

From pickup at the airport to check in at each hotel, everyone we met was courteous and efficient, Murt our tour guide was funny,knowledgeable and always on time.

Great Tour!

The booking went well, except for the outbound flight, where I had a 5-6 hour layover in Newark. The travel agency did an excellent job in finding the perfect tour for me.
