Irish Gold Tour is pure gold!

This was our first overseas trip as well as our first tour. The trip was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Marian Kelly was exceptional! Her knowledge of Irish history intertwined with her own family history made the trip come alive. She went above and beyond to make sure the tour group was taken care of. And Martin, the driver, got us everywhere safe and sound. They both were instrumental in making this a most memorable trip.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotels. First class all the way!
And the sites visited on the Irish Gold Tour enable us to develop an understanding and appreciation of Ireland's past.
I would highly recommend CIE Tours to my friends and family. Thank you for a fabulous trip!

The tour director Brian was very good. He was very informative and funny. The tour stops were great as well.

I think we spent too much time on the bus. The hotels were good. I would have liked a bit more free time in Edinburgh, Glasgow, limerick. Guide during part of Scotland tour was so hard to understand, hee accent was too strong, sge spoke too fast I would have liked subtitles. This was my first tour. I enjoyed social aspect, meeting other passengers, tour director, Marie was very nice. No wifi in the bus was a total fail. You have to filx that. I enjoyed river cruise with crooner. The sheep herding visit was slso good. Tge cliffs of mohr day was very good. I would have liked time to scale all four cliffs. I did not enjoy the castle show so much. It was a little too much, too many people crammed into one space. I would have liked more free time, flexibility. All in all we enjoyed ourselves, we met nice people, saw beautiful scenery, got. Good taste of the ireland and Scotland.

I thought our tour was pretty perfect. Great accommodations, food and entertainment. We were in a small group, just 22 of us.

Great Pub Tour of Southern Ireland

Great tour of Southern Ireland. Quaint villages, good food & music, guide was awesome, hotels were very nice, bus was comfortable. Highly recommend for the value.

Overall very good

Very good service. All of the transportation and lodging was taken care of. Everything was pretty easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my CIE tour with Laurence as our tour guide. He was competent, kind and charming. He went above and beyond for our comfort and fun. I would take another CIE Tour tomorrow if I could!

Fantastic Tour

I have nothing but positive things to say about CIE Tours. They were great from the time of booking till the end of the tour. They really thought of every little thing and attended to our every need. It was a pleasure to travel with CIE. Our tour guide/driver (Brian) was fantastic. He kept us entertained, informed, and on schedule during the entire tour. I was impressed with the organization of everything and the seamless itinerary each day. I will certainly keep CIE Tours in mind for my next trip abroad.

Dublin was ok. Bus driver, Laurence (bus driver) was great! Hotels were good and food was awesome. Boat ride was bad. Overall, the trip was very much a good trip

Fantastic way to see Ireland!

I can’t say enough about our wonderful tour guide John!! Besides being skilled at driving that huge bus around all of those narrow Irish roads, he never missed a beat in sharing his historical knowledge during our week across the lower portion of Ireland!! He truly made our experience enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CIE as a tour company.

Perfect little taste of Ireland!

I don't think it would have been possible to have had a better trip than I did on my Taste of Ireland tour. I went with my best friend, and we expected to be with primarily older, married couples, and luckily it was a nice mix of age ranges. We ended up making great friends, which made the trip even better! This was my first time taking a tour like this, and I really enjoyed it. Keep in mind that it is a lot of time spent on a tour bus, but this didn't bother me too much, even with the potential for car sickness. Our tour guide, Noel, was phenomenal. He was hilarious, informative, and kind. I thought this was an amazing way to get around Ireland. My friend and I had absolutely no desire to drive, especially since we're used to driving on the other side, so thought this was the best idea. I loved that all of the logistics were figured out for us. We didn't have to figure out transportation/public transportation, hotels, etc. It made traveling easy! Last year we did London, and had to figure out logistics 24/7, so this was a great change of pace! I literally have no complaints, and I can't wait for my next tour!

Wonderful trip to Ireland

This tour to Ireland was wonderful. Our tour guide Brian was the best!! He made sure we had everything needed to have a perfect experience. The hotels were great, meals were good. Especially liked having lunch at the Pubs. The bus was comfortable. Brian our bus driver, tour guide and entertainment really made the trip one to remember.

All around Ireland - fast but good!

This was a nice tour with an entertaining driver/tour guide. He told stories, jokes and sang so the ride was not boring. Ireland is beautiful and I’m glad we went despite. getting Covid when we landed home. ( we masked on plane and airport but no one wore masks on bus or in hotels or at sites) I think the hotels and food were decent but on two occasions we were placed in very small rooms and I was unable to get out of the tiny shower without help. Beds were sometimes full , sometimes twins. Some of the other people had larger rooms. We tried to talk to hotel management but they said CIE made all arrangements and they couldn’t be changed. Tour guide does not deal with room issues. So just be prepared. Tour, guide and sites around Ireland itself were enjoyable.
