Well balanced agenda with friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.
Tour guides were very good, lodgings were top quality, and the daily agendas were a good balance of scheduled activities and free time.

Scottish Day Tripper
Before my trip I called on several occasions to ask questions, and everyone was kind and helpful. My trip started May the 9th in Glasgow and ended in Edinburgh. The hotels were in ideal locations as you could step out of your hotel and explore. I wouldn't change a thing about the tour; it was fantastic! Our tour guide, Austin (pictured) was knowledgeable, kind and funny. It was a dream trip.

I liked the distance we traveled and the varied landscapes.
Well organized and excellent leader Gordon and driver Danny. Our group was exceptional. 40 people on and off the coach without hassle or delays, no late comers, no complainers.

Interesting and Informative
1st time for bus touring. Was nice that the group was small. Tour guide points out many sites & history that you would not see/know if you tried to do the tour yourself.

Wonderful adventure
It was a wonderful trip. The experiences were fun and the days were planned well. The tour guide was personable, funny and informative. I liked that the days were all planned out and I just needed to show up. There was a variety of different things to experience.

Classic Sicily - 8 Days/7 Nights
Decent experience with a few recommendations for CIE
Visiting Sicily was a life long dream of mine due to my heritage. I have to say that it was beautiful but the tour itself was a bit dissappointing in several ways. Unfortunately most had to do with the tour guide. Poor communication with changes to itinerary and not very knowledgeable about many of the sights on the tour. Honestly seemed disinterested. However the quides for our walking tours did make up for the lack of the tour guides knowledge. When talking to the group on the bus she may have been talking to herself as we couldn't hear but her perhaps it was because she spoke facing forward. The winery tour was ok however it was not what I personally expected. While it was informative the enviorment was very modern without that old world feel. The Honey tour was a waste of time. We all expected to see how the honey was processed but instead it was just a place to purchase honey, olives and oil. With olive trees everywhere in abundance perhaps replace the Honey tour with a visit to an olive grove to see how all those olives get processed into oil. The Hotels were all great however the food at these places left much to be desired. I'd suggest adding more local dinning experiences instead of eating a the hotels. The bus was very comfortable and clean.
Even though I had a few negative things to say here I would totally recommend CIE Tours and just hope you have a good tour guide. They really do make a difference in the experience. Guess we expected the same level from the guide as we experienced on our Ireland tour last year. We will be using CIE tours again in the near future.

Murt O’Shea was the best tour guide ever!! Excellent driver, funny and a wealth of knowledge.
First time to Ireland. It was a well organized trip thanks to our CiE guide Murt O’Shea. The man is e gem!! Funny as could be. A walking encyclopedia of Irish history and culture.. Murt enhanced our trip by his mere presence. Check off a bucket list it was amazing.

Best Way to see a Country - CIE Tours!
Excellent. CIE is buttoned up. We loved the intro backpacks with gifts and booklet that answered tons of questions. Our guide Dennis was amazing - he made the trip!

Best vacation Ive had in a long long time!!!
Very well planned, Food was good, tour guide (mark) was exceptional. Hotels were wonderful and somehow we avoided long lines everywhere!!! There were options to strike out on our own, special needs were dealt with every step of the way. Mark changed the bus seating daily so everyone had different vantage points for pictures. Plenty of comfort stops were planned and Hotels were ready for our arrivals and luggage was handled very professionally If we go to scotland (which we will consider) CIE is our first call!!!!!!

Super fun way to see Scotland!
Our tour guide Betty was the best! She shared stories and songs along the way. We especially liked how each stop along the tour gave us another layer of the Scottish culture. The small group experience was friendly and welcoming.
