Scottish Clans & Castles - 10 Days/9 Nights-As our very first overseas experience, we were very pleased--
We had a few things go wrong with the hotels--nothing earthshattering. The Sandman in Glasgow hotel appeared to be rather new and not quite "there" yet with bugs that I am sure they will work out. Finding it (because we went early) was another experience because of extensive construction, but we managed. The room was nice and we learned quickly that AC was not an option--again, we made do but perhaps that should be something told to be expected unless I missed it--not a huge biggie for us, but....
The Hotel near the Loch was a gorgeous site, but it, too, seemed as though maybe it was just recently under new management. One thing that I REALLY did not like, we had a room that had a bathroom that was really unusual. There was no shower stall at all, just a drain and shower head--not sure what the purpose in doing this was, however, to me and my sister, it just seemed as though it was an accident waiting to happen. The food was very good and the atmosphere was lovely--and we later found out that nobody else had a bathroom like that...so, perhaps there was some kind of engineering issue behind it.
The bus driver and Di--wow--what professionals--I actually miss them now that I am back in the states!! All in all, it was a fabulous experience that I thought I would never be able to make--well worth the money and certainly an experience above and beyond what I'd hoped. Thank you so very much!!!
