Lanark

Lanark is a small town rich in history located in the county of Lanarkshire in Scotland’s more populous Central Belt. It’s been a market town since medieval times when King David I of Scotland made it a Royal Burgh in 1140, thereby encouraging trade. Legend has it that William Wallace married a lass from Lanark, Marion Braidfute, and that he began his campaign for Scottish Independence in there in 1297.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is Scotland's capital and has been since the 15th century. It is a compact city that boasts a medieval Old Town and an elegant Georgian New Town, built over 200 years ago. Known as the ‘Granite City’ for its many grey-stone buildings built during the Victorian era, many have become landmarks such as the imposing Marischal College.
