Great Ireland tour

Excellent Ireland tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, informative and a great story teller. We are definitely considering a return to Ireland in the future using CIE.

Taste of Italy was worth every penny!

This was our first tour, so we were unsure what to expect. CIE proved to be a fabulous tour and surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed hearing from excellent local guides and had a fabulous tour manager (Diana). While we would have loved to spend more time in each city, we did manage to hit so many of the highlights everywhere we went. We would need a month to see it all! Had we tried this on our own, we would have only seen a fraction of the sites that we did. CIE took all the planning work out of our trip and let us simply enjoy the ride.
Be prepared to walk A LOT but we were ready with comfy shoes and clothes. We logged anywhere from 6 to 12 miles a day (spending our free time each day seeing more of each city.)
We would highly recommend anyone interested in visiting Italy, especially for the first time, to join a CIE group and get a "taste of Italy."

Our tour guide and driver were great, very knowledgeable about their country and able to answer any questions we asked. Iceland is a beautiful country. The hotels were good and the food they provided was excellent. The biggest disappointment of the trip is that the one place where we could have had the best opportunity for viewing the Northern Lights we were at a hotel that would not wake us up and in fact didn't even have a phone in the room or an alarm clock we could set to wake us up.

I highly recommend CIE tours

I have never booked with CIE before but I definitely will from now on. The itinerary was easy to follow and everything went according to plan. Our tour guide, Patrick Smith, was so good and knowledgeable. He threw in humor and lots of information on Ireland. He never got tired of our questions and really made the tour so enjoyable.

Excellent introduction to Italy

It would have been 5 stars but as none Americans we do not get the backpack in advance so we needed to buy our own adapters. Also, we have taken two CIE tours an in neither case did we get the info about our destination, so we did not know we needed to bring a wash cloth for Europe, nor even how to tip the CIE guides Fortunately another part of our group let us see their book. The tour from start toi finish is 5 stars all the way.

First off in my opinion CIE is the very best. Our Tour Guide Graham Bruce is top notch and very knowledgeable on all things Scotland. Graham also is very personable and funny. This was my third time of having the privilege oh Graham being our Guide. Our Driver Rob was just as knowledgeable, personable. and a perfect complement to Graham. Our tour group was great. I would recommend the Isles and Glens tour to everyone. One complaint was at the Apex Grassmarket Hotel, my wife and I were left off the list for a room at the Hotel. Everyone else in the group had a room. The man at the reception desk was very rude and unprofessional he waved my wife off, and tended to other guests. Graham tried to help and he ignored him too. Needless to say everyone else was in their room and getting ready for the Scottish Banquet. Some Photos

Best tour guide Ever!!!!!!!! Made extra stops, kept us on schedule and was considerate and kind. If I take another CIE trip, I would hope to have Brendan as my my driver.

Very nice tour and a great time!

Tour guide and driver were very good. Hotels were very nice and food was good. (Our flight was diverted from Shannon to Dublin and we had to find transportation to meet tour which was annoying because it was a 3 hour bus ride to get back to Shannon )

A great decision!

CIE was fantastic! We love that everything was handled for us, and it was very easy to just relax and enjoy once we got there. Our driver was informative and fun, all the tour guides were excellent, and the accommodations were more than we expected. Highly recommend CIE to anyone considering a group tour!

Backpack with accessories was appreciated. Bus was clean and comfortable. Tour guide was knowledgeable.

A wonderful and organized trip! We enjoyed every moment of the tour.

Our driver Andy and guide Lisa were entertaining, informative and provided helpful information. Example the airline lost my baggage. Lisa directed me to places to shop for necessities. Andy made sure that we had our things stored safely when we were living out of a shopping bag.

Mark and Pat had a terrific time!

Loved every minute. We saw more than we could imagine , and our tour guides were well chosen. Both Diana and Lorenzo were superb.
