The booking service was good but wish they would have explained transport to and from airport. My first tour and wasn’t aware. First hotel in Dublin too far from all. Think overnight in Kilkenny and not Waterford would be best . Sheepdog was excellent and catamaran and Abbey. Galway was great and Killarney. Would have loved more free time to explore . Loved Waterford yours but didn’t like Waterford would have preferred a night in Kilkenny

Scottish Isles & Glens - 12 Days/11 Nights
I took the tour to visit the northern islands of Scotland and see the beautiful estate gardens. I rate it 5 star in both categories. This is my 4th tour with CIE they are excellent! no one does the UK and Ireland better!

The entire trip was well planned and our director and driver were awesome
The booking service was excellent. We did not have to do a thing! Our agent was very patient with us. This was our second trip with CIE and we hope to plan an Italy trip soon

Irish Explorer - 9 Days/8 Nights
Beyond expectations!
We scheduled this trip for June to be there on our anniversary, however an unexpected surgery had us postponing until August. Well….I’m not sure what June would have brought but our 10 days in August couldn’t have been better. The weather, our tour mates, and most importantly our tour director, Dominic, were all amazing. Dominic was so incredibly knowledgeable and the stories he told so engaging. The tour was so well planned out. The hotels, food, entertainment and tours surpassed our expectations. We HIGHLY recommend the Ireland Explorer tour! Looking forward to our next tour with CIE.
One last note. When we were in the planning stages my wife reached out to CIE and was redirected to an agent from Avoya. Things became extremely stressful when the changes for our trip occurred. Even with the purchase of insurance. Communication with the agent was extremely difficult and stressful. My I’ve had to take on several tasks herself to ensure we made the trip on schedule. We still don’t understand how we ended up with an agent but when things got extremely stressful we called CIE and were told they could not assist because we had an agent. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Yes I would recommend CIE, at times it was difficult for our travel professional to get answers in a timely manner but, they did respond.

A great experience we will always remember.
Our tour was great. Phil Coates our tour director was fabulous. Dennis Murphy was our driver and I felt extremely safe. We really loved the entire trip and the places we visited were great. The shuttle from airport to hotel when we arrived did not go well. We were delayed processing through customs and had hire transportation because the driver left 5 minutes prior. I was disappointed with that and was a little apprehensive about how the rest of our tour was going to go but Phil and Dennis save the trip.

Outstanding customer service.
CIE graciously worked with us extending our tour from July 2020 to August 2022 due to the pandemic, they were wonderful. We had a couple of false starts due to on again off again travel restrictions, airline disruptions, etc. Each customer service rep that I dealt with was professional, courteous and a problem-solver.

CIE thinks ahead and plans well. Daily excursions were well executed and obvious preparation went on behind the scenes. Tom was incredibly outgoing and truly seemed excited to educate and accommodate along the trip.

We originally scheduled our trip for August 2020. Due to the pandemic, our trip was rescheduled to August 2021 and then again it was cancelled and rescheduled to August 2022. CIE was very accommodating and flexible in helping us to modify our trip plans over the course of the pandemic to ensure we were able to ultimately take our family vacation.
