I booked through Affordable Tours, not CIE directly, but once I booked and had questions about the itinerary, I was pleased to find I could communicate directly with CIE and I appreciated their quick responses.
I must give my highest rating to our main guide/motor coach driver, Mr. Jerry McCarthy. He made everything go smoothly, safely, with interesting and educational stories and great humor throughout. He deserves a bonus!!

The tour was fantastic! Everything was very well organized and the hotels and food were top quality. But the highlight of this tour was our guide Tony Keenan. He was great and made the trip so much fun! Couldn't ask for better, and i would definitely take any tour with Tony as the guide!

Great trip good itinerary great driver and guide.

Great itinerary. Lloyd is a fantastic guide Colin a great driver...always felt safe with Colin. Highlights were the Irish night out at Major Colgan’s, Killarney (all), the walking tours, sheep dogs and great southern Killarney hotel. Things I wouldn’t recommend were the catamaran, the royal marine hotel...too far out of town and ammenities not the best,

The best thing we ever did was book a CIE tour.

Everything was just wonderful. All the accommodation, all the tours, the food and especially the driver, Colm.

We loved it so much that we are now planning our next trip around CIE tour dates.

Great trip!

We had a great trip. The hotels and activities were fantastic. There were just a couple of places that were not to our liking and our group agreed on them. They were the whiskey tasting and one restaurant, although in that restaurant they had the most adorable 10 year old boy playing the fiddle. He made up for the lackluster menu. The last night in Dublin was my favorite! We had a delicious dinner followed by music and dancing. I would love more of that. I would recommend this trip to friends.

Nice pace, generally good hotels, and not too many tourist trap type stops. Scotland was great. Would have preferred more in Northern Ireland and Dublin.

My tour was absolutely amazing!! Our driver, Michael was so informative and so funny. This was my first vacation doing a coach tour, and as a single traveler, I felt safe and stress free. I highly recommend Mystical Ireland and CIE! I can’t wait for my next trip!

Easy to get in touch . Tour was as advertised. Unhappy with United Airlines would recommend another.

Wonderful Experience!

This is my second trip with CIE Tours and it was terrific. The meals were great, the hotels were really nice. Best of all, we met such great people! The places we visited were awesome and I felt CIE Tours tried to give a great taste of Scotland Yes, the bus rides were somewhat long, but it takes time to get to each destination. Our tour guide, Patrick, was just wonderful, with the best sense of humor. Our driver Jerry was kind enough to make several stops for quick pictures.

The tour was amazing and our driver and guide, Joe Lyons, was absolutely awesome!! He went over and above to make the tour so interesting.

We would definitely recommend CIE.

Best Irish Adventure Tour!

Well organized, excellent tours, terrific driver/guide. Only one hotel we didn’t like, but the rest were great!
Might have stayed a little longer at some stops, but on the whole great.
Will use again!!!!

Booking was easy. I spoke with a young man, Ross Archibald. He was efficient and helped me. I wanted to go a day early so I would see Newgrange, which was not on the tour itinerary. He managed that reservation for me. The best thing about the tour was the tour director, Tony Keenan. He was knowledgeable, interesting, articulate, informative, helpful, and entertaining. I had some particular expectations for the tour and got to see everything I wanted. there was of course, serindipity, having seen and experiences some things which I didn't expect or didn't have previous knowledge about.

My guide Markene was exceptional and went the extra mile every day. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was a pleasure which made us understand and appreciate Iteland and its history.

Terrific Trip and Well Worth It!

We just returned from the eleven day Taste of Scotland and Ireland tour. It was an AWESOME trip! We were amazed by the beauty of both countries and the kindness of the people. Our guide in Scotland, Alsdair, shared so much of the history of each of the areas we visited. Loch Lomond and the Loch Ness cruise were beautiful, and Edinburgh Castle and city were wonderful!

Crossing to Ireland by ferry, we visited Titanic Belfast, learning about the ship and the people. We also toured Dublin, kissed the Blarney Stone, and enjoyed a demonstration of sheep dog herding. The Ring of Kerry and Skellig Islands were breathtaking, as were the Cliffs of Moher, and an interactive dinner at Bunratty Castle was such fun! The last day we visited Galway and the monastery of Clonmacnoise before returning to Dublin. During our stay in Ireland, our guide, Aidan, gave us insight into the rich history of his homeland as well as current events and issues facing the country. Aidan was the difference between a so-so tour and the tour of a lifetime! He looked after us, kept us moving, and went the extra mile in all that he did. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to the next trip!
