Good but too expensive for children

The tour guides were great and the tour itself was incredible. We stayed on time and smoothly with 44 people. The one downside was the cost to bring an 8yo, the hotels did not accommodate well for children and families. We only paid $600 less for a child and it should have been half price or less. If you are doing a family vacation with kids under 16 I would not do this tour just because of the hotels. The guides and people in our group were incredibly gracious and fun to be around.

We had a fantastic experience. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. All the hotels were very nice and the staff was courteous and helpful. The activities were well planned. For our first tour, this was a vacation to remember. We will absolutely vacation with CIE again.

Wonderful Experience

Making our reservations for a party of 9 was easy, and the staff was very helpful. No issues whatsoever. We always received excellent customer service, felt respected and honored to be on the tour.

Great value tour that hit all the highlights!

Good use of time and providing regular breaks/changes in pace of activities. Really enjoyed all the stops and our guide was fantastic.

Would choose CIE tours every time!

We had an unforgettable trip to Ireland through CIE tours. All of our accommodations and transportation was taken care of and were top notch! We didn’t even have to worry about any transportation to or from the airport which was so nice. Many of our meals were included in our trip cost and they were all very good meals. Our tour guide/coach driver, Murt, was better than I could have ever imagined. We learned so much on this trip along with making fantastic memories and seeing unforgettable sights. If you want to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation, CIE tours is the way to go.

8 day Irish Adventure wasn’t always smooth sailing

Great 8 day tour, fabulous tour guide/driver, awesome hotels, overall. Reason 4 not 5 stars was our arrival to Dublin was 4:50 am. Our voucher said pick up begins at 7am—so exhausted, we waited 2 hours. Then we saw the CIE rep at T2. She smiled and said we now must wait until 8am…not happy. At 7:45am, she told us we have a taxi for our hotel. Once arriving at our hotel, no room was available until 3pm. Had envisioned taking a nap for a few hours before our tour began at 2pm. Wasted hours in their lounge. At 1pm, the front desk got us our room—I kept asking them. Learned the hard way, arrive 1 or 2 days before your tour begins to take care of no sleep and jet lag. Also for my adult son and me, we ordered 2 beds in our hotel room. 4 reservations had us for a double. Front desk person said that means 2 rooms/suite and one bed. It was frustrating. Still, I’d highly recommend CIE.

The tour director was fabulous. He made our trip. Really enjoyed the entertainment both nights, Ploughboy pub and Bunratty castle. Liked the location of the hotel in Kilarney a lot.

It is a well thought out trip. The attention to every detail made it all very enjoyable. The driver was fantastic. Out plans for the day were always explained with local stories about the towns. The accommodations were very good and the meal selections were very good-almost too good.

Fun Adventure

Everything was well organized and laid out. We just had to show up and be ready to roll. Every day we had one or two adventures planned plus time to explore. Our coach driver had a fun dry sense of humor and the coach wasn't over packed with people.

Great trip around Iceland!

David and Palli were great! The itinerary was diverse, so we felt like we got a good glimpse at Iceland and how the Icelandic people live today and in the past. The hotels were all very nice.

Our tour guide Angela was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really appreciated having excellent tour bus drivers and taxi drivers to and from the airport. The tour sites were very interesting and hotels were great.

4*

very well organized, smooth running. Good hotels, great breakfasts. Good tour guide, lots of interesting extra info. One complaint: the initial "complimentary group drink" was a sit down, 'here are the rules, don't be late ...' - there was no ice breaker, introductions, or moving around - just listen to the spiel then leave - this sort of set the tone for the group ...
