An unbelievable Tour of Ireland
Lloyd our CIE Tour Guide was spectacular in every sense. He really worked hard to make sure everything went very smooth. Kept us very informed. Really made it a special trip with his commentary especially of the history of Ireland that brought it to life. I am hoping on future trips to Ireland he is our Tour Guide.

Mostly smooth process
Great tour itinerary. Quality hotel selections. Exceptional guide both for knowledge and tour management. Some mornings could have started later (not have to get up at 5:30 am to be packed by 6:50) by allocating less free time in the afternoon. Suggest: I was the only solo traveler out of our group of 43. On the first bus seating allocation I was assigned the very last row alone, no seat across the isle either, slowly moving up each day. I felt that the guide could have been more considerate and started the solo traveler’s seat further up first, surrounded by others.

This package is comprehensive from beginning to end. The accommodations were indeed first class. The schedule provided an excellent overview of the country and gave us lots of opportunities to take photographs, savor the sights, and meet Irish people.
The bus was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was most appreciated.
We were extremely fortunate to have Marlene Sullivan as our tour guide. Marlene ensured that we knew how to navigate our visits and experience what we were seeing, that we understood the schedules. Her knowledge of Irish history, people, and places gave us an honest sense of the real Ireland. BUT, the most extraordinary gift Marlene brought to our tour was her ability to trouble-shoot, ensure that arrangements were as expected, and treat her travelers as honored, important guests.
I lost a small purse at Blarney Castle, and Marlene went into super-guide mode. She called on a colleague at the Blarney Woolens store to help her get a phone number for the castle, and she made numerous calls to see if anyone had found the purse, even after I had given up hope of finding it. We didn't find it, but Marlene did everything she could to try.
