Excellent tour guide, great driver, wonderful itinerary, good value with many meals included

History, Castles, Beachside towns and the English Countryside, loved it all

I thought it was very well organized. I felt very comfortable right from the start. We were well taken care of throughout the whole tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable not only about the places we seen on tour but about the country as well. Our driver was great at his job, we were in very capable hands.
We got to see and experience so much in just a few days. The history was so interesting, and the places out of story books. Beautiful country.

We loved our trip.

I would have given 5 stars but disappointed that NO BACKPACK received prior to the trip and after asking the Tour Director many times it turned up on the very last day. However it was missing the map and information on Iceland. I would like that information and have requested it from the Ireland branch of CIE and to date have not received any acknowledgement of my request. Extremely disappointed especially as the 38 American tourists had all received their backpacks and all information prior to leaving the States. Living in Australia as I do should not present a problem.

This was my second trip with CIE and had no problems with the first trip.

Iceland was an excellent trip but spoilt by lack of attention to detail.

Busy days and experience much!

Coach driver was perfect. He knew so much and talked when interesting sights were coming up. Additional guides were expert.

Well organized. Great driver, tour guide. My only negative was the hotel choice in Killarney, the Scott. Very sub par and noisy.

Great tour of Italy

Great tour of Italy, great and caring tour director and coach driver. Very nice accommodations in each city. Delicious buffet breakfasts and 3 dinners were included. Well organized tour.

Great memories made on this trip

Excellent tour director and driver. Food was average. The Rose Hotel in Tralee placed us and several others in the group in a wheelchair accessible room and apparently couldn't put us in standard rooms. Enjoyed all the tourists sites and would highly recommend to others.

Love our tour

CIE tour was incredible experience that is a bucket list experience. The only critical feedback is that the individual we book our tour with suggest that CIE bus would not allow golf clubs which cause a $1,000 for a car rental. The CIE tour driver said they had room. :(

Irish Legends, a tour worth taking

Our driver/ tour guide was wonderful. He was interesting to listen to and made the ride on the coach more enjoyable. The hotels were all good. The location on two was far out from the city center, but for me that was ok since I had been to those cities before. The coach had 44 folks on it which made for a longer on and off process, a waste of time. Luckily it was a great group of folks that all got along.. I would recommend CIE tours, especially for a first timer or solo traveler.

Great locations, mediocre guide

The locations visited, the timing, and the hotels were great. The tour guide did not add to the experience. He gave us personal opinions, almost all negative about the UK. He was not interested in any of the history or details of the places visited and was dismissive when we asked questions. We never used our ear phones, he had nothing to add. There were many lost opportunities, so a more knowledgeable and interested guide would have made it a five star tour. Most of what we learned was found through research on line and in guide books, not what I expected when we committed to a guided tour.

Amazing Ireland

My tour was amazing. Perfect weather, not a stitch of rain in 8 days. Wonderful tour guide & driver. Fantastic group of people.

Excellent tour

This tour went smoothly from beginning to end. from the transportation to and from the airport, the informative and helpful tour guides and driver. The accommodations were good and the bus clean and comfortable. The tour was just as advertised along with time to explore on our own. We would go with this tour group anytime.

CIE Ireland Trip

We had an amazing time in Ireland on our honeymoon! Would highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys seeing different pubs and meeting new people!

Our tour guide was the absolute best. Informative, entertaining and professional. He made our trip! The first hotel was very nice. The subsequent hotel quality deteriorated from there. The hotel and its location in Limerick was terrible. Industrial and desolate area. Did not feel safe there. The last hotel before we returned to Dublin was the size of a shoebox with only a double bed. I expected more from CIE Tours when it comes to hotel quality. The Merry Ploughboy Dinner show was my favorite evening!
