Scottish Dream - 8 Days/7 Nights-Beautiful scenery, friendly citizens
Good overview of Northern Scotland. Accomodations were decent and sights were impressive. Best was the countryside. Beautiful scenery all around. A lot of castles to view - perhaps a bit too many. Would have preferred to explore more on our own in places like Isle of Skye and stayed longer. While there were only 12 of this tour - which was great - I would not like to do this tour with the usual 40-50 on the bus. Perhaps offer small group tours.

Highlights of Britain - 14 Days/13 Nights
The itinerary is good and most of the hotels they chose are pretty good except the one in Tavistock, the Bedford Hotel mainly because the hot and cold water faucet are separate in the bathroom sink.

Irish Odyssey - 12 Days/11 Nights-Active and Interesting!
This was a very active tour visiting many places of interest. Our group of 39 was fun to travel with. The hotels provided by CIE were on the better side compared to some other tour operators I've traveled with. I was a little disappointed that although our coach driver, Eaman, was very nice, we did not have a dedicated tour guide. Our last night was spent at Cabra Castle Hotel (amazing staff) but since our driver had to report for another tour, he didn't join us for our farewell dinner (disappointing, and, I thought, unusual) nor did he spend the night, so when a small problem arose for me in the morning, Eaman couldn't be reached. Luckily the hotel staff stepped up to the plate.

Scottish Isles & Glens - 13 Days/12 Nights-Wonderful itinerary with a fantastic tour guide and driver1
We absolutely enjoyed this itinerary as it covered the majority of places we wanted to visit in Scotland. Thanks very much to our tour guide Ian and driver Rob for the added stops at Culloden and Falkirk (Kelpies). We would highly recommend this trip to all who would love 2 weeks in Scotland (and who wouldn't?).

Taste of Italy - 7 Days/6 Nights
Our guide was very knowledgeable regarding history, art and culture. The only drawback was the speed of the tour, which did not allow much time to admire the artwork and the architecture.

Best of Ireland South (Tour C) - 7 Days/6 Nights
Entire tour was fabulous. Our tour guide/driver was informative as well as entertaining. All hotels, included meals and places visited were excellent. Would definitely consider CIE for future vacations.

Best of Ireland South (Tour A) - 8 Days/7 Nights-Very enjoyable time.
Comfortable bus and our driver was very knowledgeable about the locations and Irish history. Photo ops and bathroom breaks were appropriate.

Irish Adventure - 9 Days/8 Nights
We saw a lot during our tour, traveling over 1,000 miles. This was my first experience on a tour, we had rented a car the last time we were in Ireland in 2005. The tour guide/driver has the "gift of gab" is perfect for the job. He gave us a lot of Irish history.

Very nice experience. We like how CIE helped us organize our luggage, with the tags, backpacks, rain ponchos, etc.

Ease of travel. All our accommodations, travel and tour admissions taken care of. We stay and see things that we would never have seen on our own. The research is done for us.

Irish Legends - 10 Days/9 Nights
Everything from the start to the end of the tour was very organized, friendly personnel, and informative. The tour we took gave us an all over view of Ireland, from castle, ocean views, historic area's from city to farm life.

Jewels of Ireland - 13 Days/12 Nights-Exceeded all our expectations!
Fantastic tour, every day was special. The food and accommodations were wonderful. And our tour guide and driver were informative, interesting, friendly and funny. Thanks Alastair and David! We hope to take another CIE tour next spring.

Best of Britain - 10 Days/9 Nights-More bus time than anticipated.
Overall I really enjoyed the tour. We did have a lot of ground to cover so I do understand all the bus time. I think next time, I'd pick a tour with more than one night in a city. I felt like We didn't have enough time in each city. This was a sampler tour so now we know what to come back and do another time.

Tuscan Treasures with Cinque Terre - 8 Days/7 Nights- An Amazing Tuscan Treasures with Cinque Terre Adventure
Hotel transfers and accommodations were excellent. The hotel location allowed for interesting independent exploration of the local area. The tour guide Mossimo was responsive to any group needs and very knowledgeable of all itinerary destinations and the local culture. His commentary was the right balance of historical information and group tour logistics. The bus was clean, comfortable with a very contentious driver Enzo who would take the scenic route whenever possible through the Tuscan countryside..
