Would recommend them and would use again

we are going to use CIE again next year.

Wonderful. easy, Your people were polite and helpful

They did everything well and, at my age, I've had a lot of experience with tours.

It was a good first impression of Ireland, but I woould probably not repeat

CIE Tours: th bus was fine, the driver/guide excellent--amusing banter, well informed, likeable, not overbearing--the first hotels very good, the one in Killarney was noisy, poor bedding, I could not sleep; the one near Shannon had poor plumbing and seems disorganized' rather than stop in cashel we were taken shopping, much too much shopping, I resent shopping with its implied driver kickbacks. The so-called medeival feast had pleasant entertainment but the food stank; the first night Irish sing along was amature hour only its energy saved it, but the food there was fine. The first day tour of Dublin Castel was professionally done but basically a waste of time unless you were a royalist.

Yes, I would recommend CIE which I have done and will continue to do. Well organized tours, great accommodations, and terrific breakfasts. I would prefer not to fly through Heathrow. Never a pleasant experience.

The trip was excellent

The booking service good have been a little better. The operators were helpful when booking but they didn't explain how we got our documents very well. When we arrive in Dublin at Terminal 1 we couldn't find CIE to get bus to our hotel. We called CIE and they didn't know what we talking about. The girl put us on hold to check it out, then we got cut off on the phone. We asked at the airport information desk and they CIE was in Terminal 2. So we walked over there. Luckily we found the rep. He told us to sit at the a certain table and wait for the bus driver. Bus driver showed and we followed downstairs. When he found out what hotel we were in we had the wrong bus driver. He called the first rep and we went back upstairs to meet him He was very rude, not helpful. We went back downstairs to a different spot and got our bus. Thankfully the rest of the trip was excellent.

Great tour, great guides, just great!

The on line booking was easy. I liked the on line pay ability. I did not use the flight service, as I booked my own. I did ask a question on line which was never answered, but I called, and it was answered. Everything I needed, I did find on line.

Tour guide and driver, Harry and Dennis did an outstanding job of assisting us and showing us how beautiful the country of England is. I'm not sure how CIE could improve on the BEST of Britain tour. I want to thank Harry, Dennis, and all the CIE staff for making this trip so great. We'll be back for another CIE tour.

We enjoyed the trip.

I didn’t understand that it wasn’t really a two week tour but two one week tours. We were disappointed the people we were touring with in Scotland didn’t continue on to Ireland. Other than that the booking service was good,they answered my questions,etc.

Two couples went booking same tour when not together. The lady who booked for us when we called separately and had many questions since we were first timers was very kind and helped us immensely.

Going above and beyond to exceed expectations

I am exceptionally pleased and impressed with the high degree of personalized attention I received during the preparatory period. I had booked my trip many months in advance in order to take advantage of a favorable airfare offer. This actually caused several problems later when the airline changed schedules/canceled flights as the dates approached. Although I suspect this is routine, the problem was that the airline would not resolve the issues created by their automated system since the tickets were booked with "special fares by a third party" (CIE). This created a bureaucratic quagmire where significant change fees were likely, rebooking of portions of the trip was needed and I was forced to juggle other arrangements in order to re-settle my trip. Several different CIE customer service personnel participated in sorting all of this out at various points (bucking it up the chain when necessary) and ultimately, I was able to get the matters resolved satisfactorily and without additional expense to me. While this kind of systematic nonsense needs to be investigated and revised in order to avoid it in the future (and I am happy to speak with CIE management at their convenience to explain the issues in deeper detail), it's important to also recognize that the company invested significant time, care and administration to help return my arrangements to an acceptable state and keep them on track. In that regard, all involved should be commended for their client-centric approach and for their unwavering, demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction.

Our tour guides were first class! The whole trip we didn’t worry about one single detail they kept us informed and safe every step of the way! The bus was always clean, our luggage always taken care of, and our spirits always high (except for the last day).
