it was a wonderful trip. everything was exactly as was laid out in the itenerary.

It was a little tricky to find the exact place on the website to log in to look for or make a payment on our trip.

Great history of Scotland by the tour guide! Did not spend a whole lot of time at some places, such as Glencoe and Isle of Skye but there was so much to see I understand the tight schedule. Overall, I’d definitely use CIE again!

Wonderful Scotland!

Our tour guide, Linda, and our driver, Davie, were each good natured and seemed knowledgable about each site. They played music along the way relevant to the territory we were passing through, and shared stories about some of the historic figures. Everything seemed so green and clean!!!
I wished for longer to linger in the Orkneys, and the Culloden battlefield--the exhibit was so interesting it took most of my time! The Mount Stuart House and garden were grand, but the shopping in Rothesay was non existent -- it was SUNDAY! Still, the trip was wonderful, fellow travelers interesting and personable -- a very pleasant experience for my grandson and me!! I'd do it all over again! Thanks again! Mary Grace Hobby

The booking was easy and it was a great trip but the airline booking was hard will ask for direct flights next time

Superb accomodations, except for one, great food for the most part and a wonderful bus driver/tour guide.

One of the best trips ever! Such beautiful countries and genuinely nice people. Our tour director Marty was amazing, funny, and so knowledgeable. Plan to return and explore different areas.

Essence of Britain & Ireland

Our first experience with CIE was a good one. We enjoyed our tour guide, he was professional & personable; the coach driver was safe & excellent at his job. Our fellow travels kept things fun. The only downside for us was lots of sitting: a long flight, many miles driven while riding in the coach, two separate ferry rides, long flight home. We needed more physical activity, walking, & staying in each place longer we would have preferred. Thank you.

Efficient and enjoyable

Well organized, good tour director, local guides and bus driver and most of the activities were included without buying optional tours.

This was my first venture with a corporate tour, and I had some apprehension about spending 9 days with strangers.
From the beginning, CIE was extremely helpful--booking, payment, scheduling us for arriving a day early.
The pre-trip gifts are high quality and most useful. The hotels are exceptional; the food was almost always excellent; and the schedule provided a wonderful overview of the country and its treasures.
When we arrived at Dublin Airport, a CIE employee spotted a luggage strap and came over to answer questions and help us get the taxi to the hotel. Although we weren't part of the tour group he was greeting, he went out of his way to help us. It was a hint of what was to come.

Tour driver made the trip, knowledgeable, professional, entertaining, all the while keeping us on schedule.

Can not go wrong on this trip.

Marty the tour guide and John our coach driver were fantastic. Marty's knowledge and wit made the trip very fun and John's driving skills are second to none. If you can get on a tour with two do it. It is a first rate comedy team. Marty's knowledge of Whiskey made for great tips and taste testing at the various stops. I will travel with CIE again. You made my nieces graduation present very special.

Good experience overall

Patrick Smith was a wonderful driver/guide. He exhibited amazing knowledge and was easy going and personable. He made the experience very pleasant! The schedule was well planned and executed.

There were a couple negative experiences. First, we were unable to get a public phone to work upon arriving at the Dublin airport. As a result, we had over an hour wait before being picked up. Second, our hotel on our last night in Dublin was not as desirable as the other hotels. Suggest you look at other options for future tours.

Nice overview of Ireland

easy booking, would recommend. only issue was not knowing we should get our own seat assignments to avoid paying $70 extra because no complimentary seats were available when I checked.
