Great but difficult for older folks.

I would recommend them highly to a younger group. This type tour difficult for older folks. I totally enjoyed it Breakfast was same in each hotel. That got old. Driver and guides great.

This is the second tour that we have taken with CIE Tours and both have been fabulous! The hotels, bus, and attractions were wonderful.

CIE tour of Ireland was outstanding.

Marion and Martin were outstanding! We learned an incredible amount, about Ireland, every day. The tour was well organized and on time each day. We experienced a few unexpected events. Marion and Martin went above and beyond to ensure that we did not miss anything that was scheduled. We totally enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend CIE tours to anyone looking for a great tour of Ireland.

The tour to Iceland was spectacular. Iceland is rugged, hostile, and beautiful all at the same time. Our tour guide, Ellert was charming, witty, knowledgeable, willing and able to answer any question, and just amazing when trying to keep 28 adults together. I would highly recommend any tour to Iceland be conducted by this tour guide. Iceland is very family friendly.

The trip home was anything but wonderful. The flight from Iceland to Boston went off without issues. The seven hour layover in Boston was not acceptable in the least. You have got to do better at reducing the layover time to no more than 4 hours at any one location.

Great experience.

The tour guide (Joe) and driver (Louis) were excellent. Most of the hotels were also excellent; two hotels I would rate as 1 and 3. The places we visited were mostly wonderful. The gaol was my least favorite; it smelled like misery and I had to leave. Overall the experience was great and I would use CIE to book future tours.

Fantastic sights and wonderful trip.

This was our fourth trip with CIE and excellent as always. Really enjoyed spending mulitple nights at the hotels so we didn't fell rushed. Would highly recommend the Clans and Castles tour.

Iceland in July

The guide, Maria, and the driver, OleJon, were wonderful. Loved the trip. Iceland was beautiful. Would use CIE again!

Scottish Irish gold tour review

I have contacted CIE tours customer service several times to address their bait and switch tactics. We booked a small group trip and paid an additional $700 per person for that. We ended up on a bus with 43 people. Not the small group up to 26 people contracted. Also we were stuck on the bus and ferry for 12 hours transitioning from Edinburgh to Dublin.

This trip was our honeymoon and it was amazing! Great planning, guides, sight seeing, and food.

Incredible Experience!

Incredible trip! Our guide, Joe, went above and beyond to make our trip an amazing experience. Everything was meticulously planned, we did so many things in our two weeks in Ireland! Would definitely go again with CIE. I did the Irish Classic - highly recommend.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Scotland. Enjoyed that very much. The coach was comfortable and we had a great driver. Was disappointed with the substitution in place of Loch Ness ( which was canceled due to unforseen circumstances). I understand a quick decision had to be made, but the destination was underwhelming. I enjoyed our accommodations. However, would rather have stayed in Edinburgh proper as opposed to being out in the country. Nothing to do out there, so felt like we lost an evening of activity. I would also have liked a shorter time frame for the Castle and a little more free time in Edinburgh. Everything went smoothly and I would recommend CIE to friends.

Don't tour Ireland on your own, book a CIE Bus Tour.

First bus tour, not the last. From our arrival to our departure everything was taken care of. The Tour Bus was new, and comfortable. Our Tour Guide and Driver were fantastic, sharing their local knowledge to make our trip even better.

Drive/ guide was excellent. Disappointed with the last hotel we stayed at.

Our driver who also served as a guide was excellent. He was well organized and made sure that we were up on local customs and what might be some concerns for potential issues in specific locations on the trip. Accommodations were great with the exception of the last hotel in Dublin.

Great tour for less active tourists

Excellent guide, nice accommodations. Could have used more active tour, didn’t clearly understand mostly bus tour with little interaction in stops except to buy items

Taste of Ireland

Our tour guide, Martin, was terrific! He made sure we knew everything we needed to and he shared lots of interesting information with us. He went above and beyond by answering all of our questions.

Best TOUR ever!

Absolutely fabulous tour of Scotland with a deeply experienced tour guide and an excellent driver. They really made our trip very special! We will definitely come back to CIE on our next tour!
