4.6/5
Our guide Becky and bus driver Gary in Scotland were awesome and fun. Our guide/bus driver Cathal in Northern Ireland and Ireland was informative, interesting, and helpful. Unfortunately we paid for a small group tour and without being informed beforehand we ended up with a larger group. The bus internet was nonexistent and we were unable to charge our phones while on the bus.

Perfectly planned trip
The route was very methodical and my tour guide and driver were very thoughtful and descriptive of where we were and what we were doing…especially when it came to history and whiskey!

Overall rating
Liam was a fabulous storyteller, and Lee a wonderful driver. However the change of hotels in Kinsale and Belfast was unfortunate. Kinsale was too far from town for any additional walking or pub stops. And Belfast the rooms were so little, I would never stay there again. Also too many group dinners, and the food at the Belfast hotel was awful.

The tour included such a great breadth of the country. As my first visit ever to Ireland and not knowing much about the sites, I felt like I saw so much of the natural beauty and gained such a deeper understanding of the people, history, and land. Really enjoyed hearing information from the tour guide as well who didn't just gloss over the bad but went really deep into the truth of matters, even the very painful ones. He was also very kind & welcoming and the coach driver was clearly pro through all the twists & turns, tight alleys, and one-way cliff roads.

Great customer service and trip planning!
The helpful customer service representatives were a very nice first impression. CIE tours handling our hotels, food and tour excursions was very impressive. Also, CIE did a nice job booking our plane travel to Ireland and back to the US. I would book another tour/trip through CIE tours!

Fantastic Tour Director! (Lawrence)
Our Tour Director (Lawrence) was wonderful!
We did not have enough time at some of the sites-some days felt too rushed and/or there was too much driving at one time

Scotish Isles and Glens is a fantastic tour.
The tour covered the places I had hoped to see, and with Graham Bruce's narration and guidance and Gordon's excellent driving, the trip was all I hoped it would be. The route is well thought out, and the accommodations and locales were well chosen,

Easy to Book!
I knew I wanted to use CIE as a good friend of mine highly recommended them. It was very easy to connect with one of their preferred travel agents that was in my state through their website. The travel agent I was connected with was excellent, fast, and very attentive. Thank you!

Will definitely be back for another tour.
The small group tour is the way to go. Tour was as described with some additional interesting stops along the way.
BUs driver, Paddy, was knowledgeable about alot of things so while on the bus , he gave us history, social, shopping, tidbits. Got a great glimpse of places I would go back to.
It was nice to be stationed in a hotel for more than one night. Hhave a day to explore/ shop etc more.
DO any of your tours go to the American Indian memorial sculpture?
(Kindred Spirits is a large stainless steel outdoor sculpture in Bailick Park in Midleton, County Cork)
Think that it should be added based on the number of times our guides spoke about the aid they received from America and the native american Indians.

Scotland Highlands
Our tour guide Graham Bruce and Bus drive Gordon Tait were awesome. The hotels were all clean, the staff were helpful when needed, food was well prepared and delish. The tour itself was more than we expected, with Graham's knowledge of the highlands and local folklore, we were both entertained and educated on Scotland's history and people to our heart content. The time on the bus itself was on the longer side, but that was to be expected considering how much was included in the tour. My husband and I had a fantastic time, the best memories and even though the weather was classic Scotland weather, we will be back again. Oh, the Highland Cows should be considered a national treasure, and the whiskey and haggis were great. Yes, everyone should try the haggis!
