The Quay Hotel
The Quay Hotel
Departing the ferry took no time at all and just like that, we were in Wales! David is full of knowledge, like all the guides I’ve met so far. On the way to the tour’s first visit, Conwy Castle, he shared just about everything we needed to know about Wales, including traditional Welsh music to set the mood. I needed to set up at the hotel in preparation for the social media help session I was to host later that night, so chose to skip Conwy Castle and headed for The Quay hotel in Conwy. It only took about ten minutes to arrive at the hotel from Conwy Castle.
The Quay is a magnificent hotel. As we passed a gorgeous Marina with boats bobbing up and down, the coach began to slow and I shook my head in disbelief that we had arrived. The area is astounding. Surrounded by water, which is surrounded by proud hills and small, lush mountains, it’s hard to feel anything but at peace. From The Quay’s outdoor patio, there is a stunning view of Conwy Castle across water. The inside of The Quay is simply luxurious, with most rooms offering fabulous views, and many with balconies. If you don’t have a view of the water, you’ll probably have a view of the tranquil courtyard in the center of the hotel. Needless to say, we are all very happy to spend the night there.
I can tell this is going to be a great tour and I’m so excited to visit Cardiff Castle tomorrow!
Meet ya there!
