Enjoyable and fast paced trip

Good tour guide, service, meals and hotels. Very fast paced by design, do not choose this one if you want a lot of free time.

Clans & Castles Tour of Scotland, a wonderful exerience

We booked via travel counsellors who suggested the Clans & Castles tour after reviewing our interests, the booking was easy and our tour was wonderful.

Professional, efficient and friendly.

The process was made very easy, and our agent kept in touch with us and made sure all went smoothly. When I pointed out that the specials that were running made me wish I had waited longer to book, she responded with an additional 5% discount.

CIE DOES AMAZING JOB ON OUR TRIP TO ORELAND

The booking service was excellent. The employees I talked with about the trip and their knowledge of Ireland was great. They answered all my questions not matter how dumb I thought they were and very supportive during our booking. We went with friends and the employees kept us together on the the flights, seats, etc.

I liked the tour, but I thought it was too big. When I called and asked how many people would be on the tour I was told 36, so I was quite surprised and dismayed to find out that there were 44 people. I would also have liked more time in Galway (we had less than an hour) and less time at the Cliffs of Moher (we had 3 hours, 1 to 1 1/2 hours would have been sufficient). The Dalmahoy Country Club and Spa was lovely, but I would have preferred to be closer to Edinburgh. To me a major part of travelling is having time to explore the cities to get a feel for the atmosphere and people - didn't have much time to do that on this tour. I thought John in Scotland was amazing and informative- missed him when he left us. Barry Loe was charming and informative and a wonderful driver. I didn't like that we were left on our own in Dublin. I have never been on a tour (and I have been on 15+ tours) where the tour director was not present the day we left to make sure that everyone got off to the airport. I understand that Barry had to leave to get some downtime before his next tour on Monday, but someone from CIE should have been at the hotel. I have travelled a lot, so this wasn't as traumatic for me as it was for some others on the tour who were not experienced travelers. The hotels were very nice, some were more than very nice, and the included meals were wonderful. I loved the CrossKeys Pub, what a wonderful experience. On the whole I thought the tour was good and we saw a lot (especially sheep). I got to kiss the Blarney Stone and see the Book of Kells - yeah!!

Absolutely . The experience was good. Our tour guide and driver were phenomenal. But the one of hotels was less than accommodating
