CIE is very goodno problems with this, however MAJOR problems with one of the hotels we stayed at
It was a very well run tour some of the hotels are a little run down you need elevators in guest houses being 79 and expecting me to walk up three flights of stairs is no good I had to be moved to the first floor. That brings up the fact that you don't understand the market ,you have more people like myself that are older I just booked another tour ti Ireland with CIE TOURS
Was very niceOur tour guide John Callinan was amazing. He was funny and informative. He was polite and respectful. He really made the trip wonderful. I enjoyed most of the excursions, with the exception of the free time in Dublin. There wasn't enough time to do what we wanted, and we were kind of left adrift. There was quite a range with the quality of the accommodations from very good to quite poor. Especially the hotel in derry which was very poor, and we unfortunately spent 2 nights there.
Great tour and a good value for the price.The tour was wonderful. The itinerary was a great value for the price paid. The tour director did a great job of narrating our trip. He was both funny, entertaining and informative. The hotels that we stayed in were all very nice. The meals were very good. The only negatives are that a few of the stops on the itinerary could be better, and one night were we were dining on our own was in a hotel that did not have many dining options within easy walking distance.
Nice coaches, lovely hotels, nice drivers.Needed more history type info on the Scotland trip. Couldn't turn the Irish guide off. In contrast, 5 years ago, Rose Petrie had maps and song handouts, taught us the names of things, played games with us (the prize was a bag of haggis chips), and made the trip memorable. I liked having all the entry tickets paid for up front too. Great value.
Booking was easy. Reaching out through e-mail I always got answers to any questions in a timely manner.
The booking service was user friendly, efficient, and accommodating. And, they did some good problem solving. Robert Wallace was considerate and helpful. On the downside different agents had varied responses to booking questions.
