Aberdeen

Located in northeast Scotland where the River Dee and the River Don meet the North Sea, Aberdeen has been settled for at least 8,000 years. Today it is Scotland’s third most populous city. Known as the ‘Granite City’ for its many grey-stone buildings built during the Victorian era, many have become landmarks such as the imposing Marischal College.

Lanark

Lanark is a small town rich in history located in the county of Lanarkshire in Scotland’s more populous Central Belt. It’s been a market town since medieval times when King David I of Scotland made it a Royal Burgh in 1140, thereby encouraging trade. Legend has it that William Wallace married a lass from Lanark, Marion Braidfute, and that he began his campaign for Scottish Independence in there in 1297.

Ross and Cromarty is a large and varied area in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Western Ross and Cromarty, also known as Wester Ross, has mountainous Highland scenery.The eastern half (Easter Ross) is flatter, and consists of towns, villages, and farmland bordering the Moray Firth. The county contains many beautiful lochs. The Hebridean Isle of Lewis and Harris is considered part of this area as is its largest settlement, the charming port town of Stornoway.
