Lanark

Lanark is a small town rich in history located in the county of Lanarkshire in Scotland’s more populous Central Belt. It’s been a market town since medieval times when King David I of Scotland made it a Royal Burgh in 1140, thereby encouraging trade. Legend has it that William Wallace married a lass from Lanark, Marion Braidfute, and that he began his campaign for Scottish Independence in there in 1297.

Fife is an historic county of Scotland. It is located between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth. It is believed to have been one of the major Pictish kingdoms known as Fib. There are many notable places to visit in Fife including Dunfermline Abbey (the last resting place of Scottish royalty) and the Old Course at St Andrews, considered the oldest golf course in the world and is commonly known as 'The Home of Golf'.
