JOB TITLE: Director of Host Accounts

The Director of Host Accounts is responsible for identifying new opportunities, onboarding new accounts and creating a strategy to increase revenue from the Host Accounts’ market. Additionally, they are responsible for managing and growing a host/outside agent territory with the objective of increasing sales and surpassing management goals.


  • Expand host partnerships for CIE tours through prospecting and lead generation, thus increasing customer base and exceed sales quotas
  • Manage an in-depth territory analysis to present to senior leadership
  • Implement sales strategies/techniques to ensure proper training of host accounts and independent agents
  • Analyze trends and competitive action to develop a strategic plan to increase sales volume and market share within the national host market
  • Create a communication structure and training programs to capture and solicit host agents to focus on customer retention and new customer acquisition
  • Provide a professional and excellent level of customer service customer service with existing and new accounts
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates Host account needs on an ongoing basis
  • Develop a process for prospecting and lead generation to increase customer base and drive revenue
  • Utilize resources and marketing tools to create special promotions targeted to the Host market that will deliver a sell through strategy
  • Understand technology and requirements to retain the Host accounts
  • Maintain competitive analysis portfolio of tour operators to communicate how/if it will impact our strategies and market share


  • BA, BS or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with Travel Agent Host Accounts
  • Strong track record of business development in the Travel Agent Host Market
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
