    2017 Chauffeur Elegant Ireland 10 Days / 9 Nights

    Day 1: Dublin Arrival & Touring
    Your vacation starts at Dublin Airport where you will meet your driver. Depending on how you feel you may like to rest in your hotel or take an introductory tour around Dublin’s main attractions.

    Day 2: Dublin to Galway
    Today’s journey is about 140 miles. You may like to visit the monastic settlement of Clonmacnoise, founded in 545 AD by St. Ciaran or stop in the town of Athlone. On arrival you may like to take a walk around the center of Galway. Suggested visits – Trim Castle, Belvedere House, Athlone Castle.

    Day 3: Explore the Connemara Region
    Explore Connemara today, driving through this scenic region of hills and lakes. You may like to stop in the village of Cong, location of Ashford Castle Hotel and where “The Quiet Man” movie was made in 1952. Suggested visits – Kylemore Abbey, Ashford Castle, Cong.

    Day 4: Galway to Ennis
    Travel south to Ennis, a distance of about 60 miles. Travel through the Burren region with its rounded limestone hills. Be sure to stop to view the famous Cliffs of Moher, which rise to heights of 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Take a walk around the ancient streets of the market town of Ennis. Suggested visits – Rathbaun Farm, Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ennis Friary.

    Day 5: Ennis to Killarney
    By the direct route, this is a journey of about 70 miles. You may travel through the city of Limerick and stop in the pretty village of Adare with its thatched cottages. If you prefer, take a ferry across the River Shannon Estuary ferry and stop in Listowel. Suggested visits – Bunratty Folk Park, Foynes Flying Boat Museum.

    Day 6: Beautiful County Kerry
    Set out from Killarney on Ireland’s most popular scenic drive – the Ring of Kerry. Another popular drive is along the Dingle Peninsula where many movies have been made. Suggested visits – Skellig Experience, Muckross House & Gardens, Dingle Bay Cruise, Blasket Centre.

    Day 7: Killarney to Rosscarbery
    Today’s driving distance is about 60 miles. You may like to spend more time in and around Killarney, explore the Beara Peninsula to the south of Killarney or browse along the coast of West Cork with colorful villages. Suggested visits – Bantry House.

    Day 8: Explore County Cork
    Explore the village of Rosscarbery or take a short drive along the coast to Kinsale. This town is popular for yachting and gourmet food. There are many other charming villages such as Baltimore, Skibbereen and Clonakilty. Suggested visits – Timoleague Franciscan Friary, Charles Fort.

    Day 9: Rosscarbery to Dublin
    It’s about a 180-mile drive to reach the Dublin area and your castle hotel this evening. If you’d like to kiss the Blarney Stone, stop at Blarney Castle before taking the motorway north. Suggested visits – Rock of Cashel, Irish National Stud.

    Day 10: Depart Dublin for Home
    Your tour ends after breakfast with a transfer to Dublin Airport which is about 15 miles from your hotel.
