Driver & Commentary

Your driver/guide is key to this vacation. All of our drivers are fully experienced and familiar with attractions. At the start of your trip you will discuss your itinerary with your driver to ensure that you will travel on the best routes and see the places that are important to you. His informal commentary on various aspects of Ireland or Britain will greatly add to your trip. Gratuities are not included and are customary for excellent service.

Starting & Ending your Tour

It’s important for us to have your flight details so that you can be met at an airport on arrival or whatever pick up location you choose. At the end of your trip he will transfer you to the airport in time for your departing flight or to a hotel of your choice. We suggest that you spend the first and last nights at or close to an airport.

Driving Times

The vehicle and driver are basically at your disposal. If you choose a 16-seater vehicle for your party, the maximum driving time is 8 hours, which includes all stops for sightseeing and meals. With a car for 2 – 4 passengers the time can be a little more flexible. However, the driver cannot work all day and all evening and he must have at least 9 hours’ rest per night.

Your itinerary will be customized especially for you taking your preferences into account. If you’d like ideas for putting itineraries together, why not review all the coach tour programs that we offer? These itineraries have been tested and refined through the years.

All of the hotels will be chosen and reserved especially for you, depending on your interests and preferred routing. Your driver has an accommodation allowance and will make his own arrangements - at times he may stay in the same hotels and other times not.

A full breakfast in your hotel is included every morning. Lunch, dinner and snacks are not included. Your driver can recommend great places of different types along the way. He will have an expense allowance for his own meals; however, at times you may wish to invite him to eat with you.

Sightseeing Visits

Admission fees to visitor attractions are not included. If you want the driver to accompany you, you need to purchase an admission ticket for him.
